what should I do with Marketplace money?
I'm guessing it's better to buy things directly than buy keys and play the RnG game?

It's steam money, just save it up for the next sale.

Yeah, don't spend it on CS:GO if you don't absolutely want skins. If you do, then buy them directly. DO NOT EVER BUY KEYS OR CASES if you're concerned with money value. They are not worth it. If you don't believe me, play this unboxing simulator for a bit, it seems to be pretty accurate: http://case.convars.com/ I have unboxed 1500 cases in that, costing me almost 4000 virtual dollars and have not gotten a single knife and only very few (maybe 20?) top-level skins. If you spend 20 bucks on ~8 keys chances are you will get NOTHING of value and that's a ton of money thrown out the window. Keys and cases are for people that have a lot of money to just spend on things and want the thrill of 'lottery'.

Keys and cases are there to bait people into throwing more money at the game on average than they would have if they had bought it for a set price. The appeal of getting lucky in gambling works ridiculously effective on the human mind.

Since overwatch seems to be a big deal to some people here I figured I'd contribute some data; I just got my first overwatch case after my 160th win. I'm MG2.

Yeah it's around 150 wins. And yes it's a big deal because it's the only way to get hackers banned as it seems lots of hacks are still vac safe (according to the recent thread on reddit asking for a banwave, some people seemed very well informed x) ). At the moment hacking seems pretty crazy, I'm happy to not be the only one to notice that because I was starting to get worried about having sudden aggravated ADHD given how some double AK people in MM don't even let me shoot back at them in a 1V1 silent situation where I peek were they're coming from.

Not sure why you striked out what I wrote because I think we're talking about the same thing

Regarding Overwatch: I got my overwatch ever since I hit LEM and when I have the chance (usually around dinner time) I watch about 5 overwatch games in a row (7-10mins each) and I would say 1 or 2 out of 5 are really blatant hackers. Others are just playing good.
I'd want to say to people... stop blaming other players for your lack of skill. Just because you are getting owned, it doesn't mean it is because of hack. I have watched so many overwatch sessions, that most of the reports are not really because someone is hacking but more so, because players are getting owned.
Sometimes I pair up with my low friends and the average skill of my party is probably around AK or double AK... at this level I pretty much own everybody and most of the time I'm carrying the time hardcore and thus getting called a hacker... lol

How do you do many overwatches in a row? It takes a while for me to get a new case after having reviewed one.
|
I don't have Overwatchwhateveritis, but what benefit is there for you to review the case? Just knowing that you're helping?

Yes. There aren't any bribes for doing overwatch.

on Nuke, is there any way to differentiate whether bomb is A or B based off of sound?
|
^ I don't think so. Speaking of nuke, omg forest going 36-12 vs LDLC, is this guy for real?

Playing against 3 cheaters right now, all of them have at least 1 vac ban, also the server keeps freezing ppl. Lowlifes :/
here are the steamprofiles: + Show Spoiler +

The servers are being atrocious today, freezing for 40 seconds at a time, can't reconnect when timed out for good ...

weow I caught a ESEA trial code on tweeday's giveaway, and the difference playing on a 128 tick server is so huge. I wasn't even that bad compared to the other players (which I was afraid of the most), ended up 2nd/3rd on the board. Will definitely sub >.<

While 128 tick helps, ESEA is a fraudulent enterprise run by crooks and clowns that hire imbeciles as mods. I blogged about it and I'll never give any more of my money to them.
