There was a 2 day period where the deagle was basically better than rifles because it was a 2 hit kill from any distance. In competitive play half the people played with deagles and the other half complained incessantly. (I was in the second half) | ||

But yeah, i wouldn't really recommend it over other guns and especially not in an eco O.o which makes it pointless because of its cost. It IS beast tho, being able to dink someone for 1/2 their HP is fun D: | ||

That's what makes the CZ so strong. In the smaller spaces you basically just as strong as a rifle. | ||

If the other team knows what they're doing, especially if they're CTs, they'll play from a distance and set up crossfires so that it's not easy to pick them off from too close. The P250 fares decently from mid range which is great to have sometimes when things don't go as expected. And let's be honest, save rounds are all crisis management and clutch shots. That's not to say the CZ75 is bad, obviously it's preferable to pick close up fights with pistols... And perhaps just generally better, though I do too well with the P250 and too badly with the CZ to do the switch myself. | ||

Typically after you win the pistol round. You get more money for kills with SMGs (not P90) or Shotguns so as long as you pick up some kills with it you come out ahead. If you buy a galil or famas after winning the pistol round and die then you're screwing over yourself and your team. If you can play back then you can murder their whole team relatively easily though. | ||

SMG's are purchased on anti-eco rounds (Basically when you beat them pistol round) since they are super effective against unarmored opponents. However, in higher level play this use doesn't even exist since the pistol round losers buy armor/cz anyway. Shotguns are rarely used but the mag 7 is a strong cheap-buy as CT when you can't afford an M4 and full nades and are holding areas where you can guarantee being up close. | ||

In case anybody here is interested and unsure how to do it, this is how it goes: Click Play->Offline with Bots. Select any random map, set Bots to Expert Level and hit Play. Once you're loaded in, open the console and type "changelevel aim_map". You can use any other aim map if you want to and/or don't have aim_map. When it's done loading, type "bot_kick" to remove all bots. Use "mp_roundtime 15" if you want to practice 15 minutes, otherwise alter the number, "mp_autoteambalance 0" and "mp_limitteams 30" to make sure you can stack the teams in any way you want, then make the bots use knifes only by typing "bot_knives_only 1". You also want to type "sv_infinite_ammo 1" to make sure you don't need to reload. Once that's done let the game restart with "mp_restartgame 1" to update the new round time. Then just kick bots again with "bot_kick" if they autojoin and type "bot_add_t" or "bot_add_ct" to add bots only to the team you're not on, I played 1v5 which works pretty well to start with. The idea is of course not to find a camper spot on the map where the bots can't reach you, what I did is run into the open middle of aim_map where the bots rush me over and over and just turn around, headshot, headshot, turn around, headshot etc. It's a constant stream of moving and jumping targets and if you miss too much they get close and kill you. Excellent workout really. Thanks to whoever suggested that and posted that video of Scream doing it as well! | ||
