Getting annoyed by my AWP aim while the rest looks fine.
How is it that it's "on" for the first game of the day, and then for all the rest my aim is slightly off, and I can't move my mouse the way I want it to...

Does anyone know of a custom map to "test" your aim ? Like... in solo, on targets ? I need to refine the zoom_sensitivity_ratio if it still exists, or... you know... fix myself -_- get the feeling back... I really stopped for too long :-/

So in starcraft when I was in bronze I practiced things like speed and mechanics and eventually made my way to platinum. Is there an equivalent like that I can use for csgo to get me out of silver? Other than aim and crosshair placement(which I still don't know a lot how to use yet), what are other mechanics and strategies I need to learn to be able to improve when playing csgo?

You can practice aiming and muscle memory of aiming at common spots on maps by playing a lot of deathmatch. You can improve purely aim by playing aim maps on community servers as well.

In competitive mode, there's more to it than just the aim ofc. That I feel just comes from experience and playing competitive more. Keeping an eye on your minimap to where your team mates are, and where they're engaging enemies so you can get a sense of what areas are clear and where you should be covering.

Main problem with mid to high level (double ak to legendary eagle) play I find is that since csgo allows for a bit more on the fly shooting you find a lot of players getting away with sloppy decision making skills. I constantly find people just watching areas in the worst position or in 2v1 or 2v2 situations just having no idea what to do because they just rely on running and shooting.

Aside from aiming, learning crucial smokes/flashes helps a lot. It can make a world of difference learning how to smoke certain spots from outside a site.

Haha once again I use the AUG and it's a brand new experience that startles me. Strange CoD type aiming now. Seemed to get nerfed as well in terms of spray. It was fun while it lasted!

Not really CoD style, its just a reskin of the old scope.

It still follows a spray pattern and not just shoots in a laser to what ever the dot is pointed at.

No one is used to it because they are used to the complete zoom in or the black area around the sight like the AWP.

So many bugs as well. Sound is busted, crosshair style 4 is bugged.

I was watching a demo from yesterday and I thought that the AUG's sound was a bit weird. Seems like I'm not alone.

But will this new pistol see much play in competitive? I don't think so, as I really like the P250 for what it costs. Plus the new pistol has really low ammo.
