It really does make a huge difference. I've gotten to the point where I've met enough people I can nearly always find a group in the evenings. My rank has shot up, and I'm finally sitting on my first AK.

I don't mind solo q. Like LoL it's hit and miss depending on teammates. Duo or more is much more effective I agree. I flutter between gold nova 4 and AK w/stars due to SoloQ.
I just play at really odd times so I can never find a partner.

Thing about solo queue is that I always end up with teammates that are utterly useless.
How in the hell do I get games with teammates my own level? I've played CS since 1.6 release, played in cups and leagues with the big dogs back in the days, and only recently picked up CS again, with cs:go, after 3 or 4 years without playing.
I'm by no means skilled anymore like the current big dogs, but I'm faaaaaar better than the feet-aiming, appearantly blind and deaf, no kit-buying fellas I get put with in cs:go.

Find these players, befriend them and invite them to your lobby. There is no other way in guaranteeing to play with ppl at your skill level.

I am like always between silver elite and silver 4 but merely doing random teams so not expecting all too much

After I download my own replay, is there a way to skip rounds?
|
You can use the console command 'demoui' I believe to skip time, speed up time, slow time and back track.

Hello can anyone help me.? My weapon skins are not showing up in-game. I checked in the inventory and they are still there, its also equipped. This happened just now, I played yesterday and it was fine.
edit: It's fixed now. I restarted my cs go and steam, but its weird, never happened before.

If you're really way better than your current teammates then you should win the vast majority of your games and fly up the ranks.

^ truth
i climbed from my placement at double-AK to SMFC (1 below global elite) over around 10 months, with 90% solo queing and 10% duo queing. if you actually have the aim/gamesense of a high ranked player, you will rank up quickly from the lower skill groups no matter what.

This plus being able to play with others as a team no matter the skill of these players. There is nothing worse that ppl that think they are better and looking down on fellow players instead of helping and guiding them. It's 5on5 not 1on5.

Do anyone here use the standard CFG or is there some must change things like there was in 1.6?
I read some places that cl_updaterate interp etc should be changed but these articles are from 2012. Does this still apply?
Also, it actually seems like i cannot change them for whatever reason when typing it into the console for whateveer reason.
Having fun playing CS again, feels much easier to carry in this game than compared to LoL as you can actually 1v5 when you are better than your opponents.
