After my first 7-8 hours im on the fence about CS:GO.
Before i make larger review ill just give 3 point list of things that annoyed me the most.
1. Movement / engine is still not even close to 1.6, i didnt follow development process and i dont know how much they tried to replicate cs1-1.6 feeling (basically half-life engine). The result feels sourceish, AWP's feels stronger cause recoil is kinda fucked up.
2. Why the fuck m4 has no silencer? And partly similar to point one, why the hell weapons feel clunky M4 with silencer was one of the most beautiful and intimate things in CS geez.
3. Maps, few dynamics were simply destroyed on nuke/train etc. Train is now stupid tunnel vision map, forget about 10 people camping under trains its all about 2-3 chokes now.
Nuke, why i cant jump through windows near the ladder also why they removed door mechanic, opening/closing doors with grenades etc And lack of transparent glass on lower BS is also dumbing down, i remember hilarious moments in both Pubs and clanwars with using mechanics. In old CS, in CS:go it feels like kill or be killed without any movement tricks 
I will revise those points tomorrow. Besides that it felt ok, was fun playing but i need to get my skill back, maybe partially its a L2P issue like it was when someone was beginner in old cs.

Your map part u really need to check out De_nuke_ve which is volcano making some changes to the map just youtube it to see... what the maps are now doesn't mean we will be using them for competitive... so shoudlnt even worry about the maps.. also the silencer is coming back they are going to give it to us relax lol :D its not 1.6 so shit is a lot different. its more like a cross between source and 1.6.. this last patch was amazing for the game its like a totally different game.

Maybe i sounded to harsh, definitely cs 1.6 needs revisement to bring new crowd to it. And frankly 1.6 competition got stagnated, it became the same play just with slightly better aiming. So im ok with new ideas about gameplay (like for example map becoming more important).

de_nuke is gold... I highly doubt there's going to be a major revision.
You're talking about the map in general. He's talking about competitive play. Tournaments don't necessarily need to use the default maps.

I agree awp/deagle does feel close to 1.6
The sound is indeed terrible, I can't make out anything distance wise.
You'll find the spraying to be pretty much useless, especially with the AK, which is unfortunate. You could still somewhat control your spray in 1.6, can't say the same for cs.go

I just preordered it and tried out beta. It's pretty good but I'm curious why bots are so retarded, CSS and CZ bots were pretty impressive.

I think it's better than source by much but a bit worse than 1.6, let me explain why I think so:
- I don't understand the guns spraying and almost no one else does, I'm probably missing something kinda obvious or I just need to practice and figure it out.
- Sometimes I can't tell if someone is my teammate or not, especially at-long distance. The models coloring (see darkness) are a bit too similar. The radar alone just doesn't cut it imo.
- At long range (especially on Aztec), you really can't see the guy. You see something moving but that's about it. The coloring is messed up. That's probably why I really prefer old school graphics, I really can't get used to that "vision", it's too confusing and ask for too much eye concentration. (I played 1.6 more than source but I think the coloring wasn't that bad in source iirc)
- The AK feels a LOT better than the M4 in every aspect, again it may be just me.
- R.I.P silencer.
These are my complaints. Other than this, I think the game feels pretty great. 5 different grenades is cool. Having more than 3 viable "late game" guns (awp, m4, ak) is a plus too. The Galil feels WAY better than what it was in 1.6.

Silencer is going to be added at a later date.
Sound has been fixed as of last patch. Muck around with your settings and see what's comfortable for you.

Anyone who preordered can tell me if you get some extra cosmetic or something like it when you preorder the game? I got the beta, but I'm not sure if I should buy it now with the 10% discount or wait for some crazy -50% thingy, since I'm no so excited about the game. But I would preorder it if they game me something like a + Show Spoiler +hat + Show Spoiler +Yeah, I know that CS doesn't have hats, but what about a Portal 2/ DotA 2 hat? :3 . Thanks in advance.
