Well, the domination map group are in this funny place where we have a couple of 77/78s and then nothing down to 72/3s. 73s and especially 72s are hardly worth running from an experience perspective at levels 87+, whereas 77/8 maps are fairly stressful and expensive to roll since at that point you can't really accept "OK" rolls and at the same time the bosses are really nuts (excepting shipyard gravicius lol) so you have to be very careful what mods you do (or else skip bosses which sucks).
I'd be very content just running 74/75s pretty much all day but they always drop either like 71s or nothing lol.
PS: the most valuable uniques I've found are geofri's crest and an aursieze, which is pretty depressing considering the sheer number of 76/77/78 maps we've done as a group, and balsam has divination distillate, like 150ish rarity and culls with a rarity gem too. 
PPS I don't think any GGG members actually run end-game maps with any sort of regularity. If they did, Gravicius would be 6x harder (and Mageara might be a tad easier holy shit she's rough for a 76 map lol). etc.

Well, even the lower map bosses aren't balanced at all. Compare Dunes/Orchard/Dungeon with Grotto for example. All of those new bosses are really insane in comparison. Museum is ridiculous if you have no good chaos res. Villa I had no problems, but others seem to have (probably cuz of low armor as that dude spams bear trap a lot lol).
Labyrinth or what it's called has my vote for the worst map. It has Devourers (which are hard to find and deal crazy damage sometimes), it takes ages to clear and the boss is no snack either, you really need to destroy corpses. Better don't run that map with Temp Chains or the ice.

Devourers aren't inherent in labyrinth anymore but I still just 3:1 those lol. It takes literally forever to clear and god forbid if you don't have leapslam/lightning warp. What a terrible tileset.
Dark forest has devourers inherent (Ewww  ) but if you roll an inhabitation prefix its not a bad map.

That map is absolutely terrible, I 2nd this. it takes me 4x longer to clear and I usually get like half the experience compared to other 72 maps, I always trade them up 3:1 now.

In which case yes getting 1h crit nodes will increase your crit chance when using infernal blow, but it won't increase the chance of the corpse explode effect to crit (not that you care).
This is correct. The explosion part IB crit chance does not show on anything, has a base of 7%, and that cannot be modified by spell crit (not a spell), general weapon crit, ie. staff crit node ( not part of the attack by the weapon ). I'm pretty sure that it could only be affect by global crit modifier but again I could be wrong.

This is very plausible build, and I hope that someone is trying that out. However it has some problems though.
For this to work you need to have crazy high crit multiplier for the burn to do ok damage, especially now with the base burn nerf (with 300% your burn will do 100% of the normal damage per sec, not that high ). Since you would use Ele Proliferation, and only a single ice spear is need to burn, lmp/gmp is completely not needed, which is nice. But now you suffer the lack of supported gem damage. Ice spear + Cold to Fire + Ele poliferation + increase burn dmg + increase crit dmg and there goes your 5L. Not sure the dmg is up to par. Final thing is the lack of sweet node to abuse the dmg conversion.

Exactly why I'm using fireball to do this. The ice spear idea is neat but just isn't practical. I think it would work better in a support build as a mass freeze instead of converting to fire. I am not too interested in pursuing creating a build around converted ice spear to mass burn, but if someone does try it I want to hear about it.

Hmm.... I've been thinking about playing a totem build or making my first freezing pulse char ever (aside from using it for leveling).
Would this Freezing Pulse build do enough damage? I could save a lot of points by not going IR + Mind over Matter (I haven't used the later ever, but it might be good with Eldritch Battery?), though that would mean big physical hits are going to be a pain. I'm also not sure if it is a good idea anyway, a lot of people say just go EK for better damage instead of FP.

I haven't played any endgame spellcaster builds so I can't really say. If you had like a taryn's you'd probably do damage lol.

Having some items to yearn for is actually nice, but if the build isn't functioning well without them... not going to do it.

Searing touch isn't needed for my build, but it's really good for it.. so hopefully I can get my hands on one, or a GG staff.

My friend got a well rolled 5L searing touch for 3ex so hopefully that is achievable. The plus is that you can use searing touch from level 20 or whatever to make levelling a lot more attractive lol.

I have an 80% spell damage staff i'm using now. I'm too poor to afford anything at all since I haven't reached endgame and farmed etc.

Some days it will be fine then all the sudden I will get the ping, its not the game itself freezing but my internet connection or something seems to drop or lag to POE only and nothing else. it lasts anywhere from 1-5 seconds and can happen repeatedly. Sucks during races also which I haven't been doing much of because of this

Sounds like your internet if I had to guess. When you kinda disconnect but the game doesn't close, the game feels desync'd, except it never resyncs, even when you type /oos.

I ahven't played POE since april when dual spork totem was the best. I have a level 87 templar with all his passive points returned and a 6L with old spork stuff -- crit, spark, fork, totem etc. If I reinstall Poe, what's the best MF build now? Can I do anything with my dual spork gear?

I'm kinda of a noob and I'm interested in hearing about builds from people who know what they are talking about,a lot of those builds on poe sites are kinda sketchi to me anyway,a lot of times I'm not sure what a good build even looks like.

First time I died to kraithlyn in a race. Pretty terrible considering I pretty much had a huge lead for first scion 100% and just got a rare poleaxe, but shit happens I guess. 25 min merveil wasted pretty much.
Used white weapons until lvl20 when I found an alch that I used on my poleaxe mid fight vs kraithlyn after killing the adds, but my trusty 10 quality woodsplitter refused to drop on the ground 3 times in a row since I kept pressing wrong button. So when it finally dropped I had almost no hp, and panic double tapped my large potion and used up all charges. So I was left with 2 charges of medium potion vs kraithlyn. He did the flicker strike so I kept missing and killed me with 1% hp or so, honestly didn't even see the hp bar. Could probably have autoattacked him to death but I guess sometimes you think "this can't possible go wrong".

LOL shit happens, I've never died to him but I managed to die to Alira in a race. Had such terrible equip that I went out of life potions and didnt want to log out, tried to outmicro her and failed. Haha.
Is his name actually Kraityn? Just checked it, always thought it's Kraitlyn. Haha
