We don't know how this works yet, but we know that logically since the Prismatic Eclipse exists and doesn't drop with white sockets normally, there must be some way to manipulate sockets on at least that item, possibly others. The other 4 are bandit reward changes.

I can recall 1-2 "real" and for me hard to detect desyncs over 3 50+ characters since release.
Use shift before attacking. Don't run past big packs in tight areas. Be careful around Bringer of Bones mods. Be careful with right clicking scary mobs around tight corners and such. Always add shift. Bonuspoint: If Vaal looks like he (she? it?) is moving, assume desync.
If you understand why and how desync occurs you can recognize almost any situation where it's likely to happen (restricted movement / high ping) and fix them with a quick /oos macro. Basically if you're not in a race environment and pay a little bit attention it's really, really hard to die to a desync. If you're running Freezing Pulse and you're prone to small desync issues then you probably better be pretty masochistic if you want to keep playing. Sure, shift key might make you able to avoid dying, but you're still not going to be able any reasonable fraction of your DPS.
How does using shift make you lose DPS exactly? Shift merely stops you from moving to prevent you from running up to a desynced mob. If you're not desynced it does absolutely nothing and if you are desynced it prevents your character from moving and getting you killed.

Do the socket color bonuses even work on sockets that aren't in the actual item?

That information is courtesy of Chris Wilson. Hell, the guy in the original post even had a Tabula Rasa on. And that would almost necessarily mean that all the other color benefits would work the same way, making the item absolutely absurd.

i tried this. Does anyone know why i have 1-2 seconds delay? Like my fire arrow hit a monster and 1 sec later it takes damage...I chose EU region, too.
Uninstalled it after that, but since so many here like the game, maybe there is something i can do?

If you were using explosive arrow skill gem then that's how it works. Maybe you should read descriptions.

Did you play alone? If you play in a party the first one in the instance creates the instance so you could end up getting US region lag. I never encountered heavy lag though...

I don't know if you've learned how to read or count lately but you can get up to 6 extra melee attack range with 3 white slots, and since it's obviously geared towards dual wielding, two of them translate to 12 extra "melee" attack range, on top of your normal range which is around 4-6. That's why I put melee in quotes: you're hitting at a range comparable to about a third of the screen.

ill have to retry then.
The arrow was an example, it was even worse for melee attacks. I can read just fine.

If that sword only counts the sockets on itself then it is entirely worthless. It's probably not even endgame worthy with all sockets, mostly since that IPD seems global and not local.

I think the idea is to dual wield it and use it as a statstick with a good weapon.

The servers get pretty bad on the weekend so I'd wait until Monday.

Say I'm doing a build with a 1h mace and a shield. To what degree is additional block chance worth investing in on the skill tree? Is it something that's just generally good when some additional block chance is mixed in with armor and/or evasion, or is it something that's best either being heavily focused on or ignored completely?
