Oh well. Don't alt-tab while zoning is my best recommendation then.

It really hard to play as a melee job though, pretty much forced to use wand and kite the mobs whole day. Overall, fun and addicting game. Try "ele cleave" basically just wear weapons with elemental damage(it will say + lightning, +fire or +cold damage) the more or multiple the better. and heavy strike or dualstrike for single target, I think that destroys content pretty easily especially for beginner. Although spectral throw is probably just as good / safer at this point, just ask in trade for spectral throw gem it can't be that expensive. Wonder if now that PoE is released it will get it's own section.

Ele cleave has been nerfed pretty hard iirc.

Considering he's new, he can't do that because Scion is only unlocked once you finish normal difficulty. But since it is the starting gem, it should be dirt cheap in trade.

![]() I know EchelonTee did a melee dagger shadow build but its on domination (softcore) and for good reason. The paths that you want to take around the tree offer extremely little life, so CI is preferred. However CI is a) expensive b) requiers you to run around with very limited life for quite a while. Which results in RIPs as a melee char.

Im not sure about DW but I think dagger/shield could work, I can throw you together a tree if you're still interested?

I imagine with godlike equip it's a great build, but I never had that apparently.

Cleave still levels at a reasonable speed and is at worst still above average. I always use cleave until I can link LMP to throw because the AoE is too tiny for it to be efficient to clear.

Boof and I both did test runs with ranger muling ST, he got to 33.5 in 2 hours, I got to somewhere around 30-31 (killing vaal with a lvl 8 longsword). Previous two hour record (by cwu) was lvl 31. It is ridiculously OP, 30 min or less act 1 is pretty standard on ST because you can kill mobs while you run (use ST, crowd mobs behind you and hit them while you run away). Cleave is pretty dumpster actually, especially ele cleave, only reasonable way to use cleave now is two-handed

I have over 50 deaths on my Crit Dagger Shadow, I wouldn't recommend melee dagger for HC unless you're doing Spectral Throw or cyclone or something.
