AMD is pretty dumpster anyway. Nvidia/Intel is so much better. I had lots of problems with my old AMD computers but haven't had a a single problem ever since I switched to nvidia with an intel processor (about a year ago).
With my AMD (ATI) graphics card games would randomly crash, I frequently had bluescreens on 2 different AMD computers, etc...
I hate AMD with a passion, I am not someone who would ever advocate for a monopoly, but I wish people would just stop buying AMD, even if Nvidia were to establish a monopoly on the PC market as a consequence of it.
i cant really say i had technical problems with my amd card, but i do feel more games are optimized for nvidia these days, so if it stays like this im sure going to switch to nvidia for my next card
Never really had much issues with AMD cards in general, so I keep on buying them. Think I've only owned 1 nvidia card throughout the years, 6600something during the times when Doom3 was new. They pretty much always have best prize/performance ratio in the low - mid tier range, which where I usually buy most of my pc parts. They are pretty terrible in POE though, or maybe the game is just terrible optimized. I've tried all the fps boosting tricks like --nosound, --softwareaudio, runescape graphic, the game still runs terrible in endgame 6man parties. It's np when racing though, which is where I spend most of the playtime in.
Also remember I tried some particle mod hack few months back, which actually did help fpswise. Sadly you have no control over which particles you disable/limit, so I almost RIP'd at the gmp snake boss in onslaught since the shots were invisible.
Only bad thing about nvidia is that they only seem to release trash drivers. No driver past 314.22 for my 560 ti has worked. They always cause multiple crashes every hour or so.
edit: Only recently have I noticed that drivers are bad. They used to always have the best.
12 minute burst races are like a goldmine for me. 18th overall, 4th overall (2nd templar) and 4th overall (1st templar). 20 points for 36 minutes of rushing ledge XD

the 6600 series was amazing for its price.I had a 6600 GT card for years and it even ran dota and starcarft 2 flawlessly at decent framerates. i have no idea about poe tho,i bought a new comp before i started playing the game

The 6600 series was actually the reason I toughed it out with AMD/ATI for so long, before I switched to Nvidia. Everything else after that was pretty dumpster tbh.
Im gonna be building a few level 28 pvp characters in the next couple weeks waiting for release just to do something different. I finished up my CI EB Piety challenge successfully. Already have a finished level 28 facebreakers character, working on a level 28 elemental bow user (Probably a Templar if I can figure out how i'm going to get the Dex.),
Best finish in a while 2nd rauder 15th place lvl 23 in a signature farming western. Maybe should have progressed was about 180000 xp off first. was leading for a while.

Dude, I would have won first overall, but my hall of heroes zone was empty, so I only came 5th. That was some serious bullshit. lvl 22 is my personal best now, but it's frustrating because I think I could have gotten 23 with some blues in hall of heroes.

Chris: I really want to have a permanent cutthroat league. It is my goal. But we're being very careful to not prematurely release this, becuase if it's not quite right, then it's not gonna be right, and that's really really bad. So, it' definitely my goal within the next few months to try and investigate what we need to change to get cutthroat in there running as a longterm thing.

Meh, I was leveling too slowly in Sins 1. No idea why though, or everyone else was just leveling very quickly. Made lvl 20 1/2 and still only like 7th Mara at #22.
I thought I progressed pretty quickly, was probably my best run ever. Like 30 min Merveil, I usually take longer. Was behind maybe 5 minutes in Sins 1 and felt like everyone else was leveling more quickly, despite having a Woodsplitter with like 64% ipd and 6% attack speed.
(speaking about the recent 1h solo fixed race)
edit: Looking at poestatistics.com, it seems like I wasn't really leveling slower, seems like most guys were just ahead.

Fixed races are always faster just because you don't go down dead ends. As far as Sins goes you're looking for the rooms with the "fake staircases" because there is always a blue pack in there, and there's usually 1-3 of these per instance, they're usually along the back perimeter of the instance.
