A group of my buddies and I have been working on a site which will convert a inputted value of currencies and outputs it as single currency value. A reason why we thought this would be a good idea is because during trades either on forums, or even in game we have noticed a issue where people get offered a huge amount of currencies and can't tell if that offer is higher than the previous. With this tool, you will be able to input the value of the offer, and you can see how much it is worth in, Exalted Orbs values, GCP value or even in a Chaos Orb value. We will be monitoring the marketplace values on currencies daily and try out best in updating the value of each currency to make it as accurate as possible. This was made for the community so we hope that the community will also contribute and help us maintain the correct values on the currencies on the Hardcore League and Default League. You have to be super careful all the time and play in the most boring way, usually in a big group where you faceroll content. Racing is the true appeal of PoE. Short races are so much fun and you always get to push the limit.
I wish there was a "midcore" ladder for long term play. If you die, you lose 20% xp, and your character is unplayable for 12-60h, and your items could lose Quality. No porting back to finish bosses or maps, but you can still afford to play in a way that will get you killed once per ~500 maps.
I mostly do maps alone, and only yesterday partied in a group of 3 for a few maps (yes, it was faceroll, even with just 3 people). To be honest, as long as you have decent + HP gear and max resists, take mostly HP nodes, it's pretty damn hard to die in this game, even with the occasional desync. It was pretty scary at first when I was level 72-73 with crappier gear to do maps filled with undead rhoas and shield chargers, but after a while, it becomes routine and easy.

It's mostly worthless on maces because they all go with resolute technique. It should be the same on bows, because rangers pretty much all travel to the marauder/templar area and grab RT as well. It is very valuable on wands, daggers and claws, because these weapons have a high crit value and need accuracy for that. I like it (both it and TL2 are really good) but I feel kind of burned out on iso-ARPGs. Wouldn't mind getting myself back in to one if I can. I'd suggest either a Spark + Fork spellcaster, or Freezing Pulse, by far the most powerful spell right now. You can build around Ethereal Knives as well. Bows are also very powerful, so any decent bow build should do the trick. For a first character, playing dual strike + whirling blades + traps Shadow is also not a bad choice. You will hit a wall around lvl 40, but that should give you enough knowledge to start a 2nd character that you won't screw up, and that will level pretty fast with some leftover gear.
Another option is to start a Duelist, clear normal with it, and then start another character until they rework the duelist tree/skills, giving you a free respec in the process. This way you can experiment with your build and get a 2nd chance in a few weeks.

Is anyone here willing to trade their HC Currency for SC currency ? If you want i'd trade in your favor 1:2. I just saw a thread in HC trading for this but the guy is asking 1:3. He has some ppl vouching for him but 1.dont want to get ripped off for 1:3 and 2. I much rather do it with a TLer
also just to clarify we would break down currency into alch and then transfer. i have 182.5 alch worth in SC. so id be taking 90alchs on hc

Honestly, 1:3 seems like a pretty bad deal for the HC guy. Default currency is worthless compared to HC. People run around with 100%+ IQ, and have builds that clear faster. I doubt most players would even accept 1:5. In D3, you could trade for softcore stuff to sell on the RMAH, so it had real value. Default stuff has 0 value in the eye of most HC players.

so then in your opinion there is no good deal for the HC guy ? lol and as you said "in the eye of most HC players" If someone is trading their currency from HC to SC then they probably arent a HC player anymore at least.
So to a HC barely of course sc has almost 0 value because they dont care about SC and only care about HC but to the SC player that has some currency on HC they are more or less thinking they are getting a great deal because to them this currency is still valued at market price.
and as I just said I had some1 offering 1:3 initially and I brought it down to 1:2.5 but he depreciating all the orbs so in return he was offering about 50-60alchs for something I valued near 180 or at least if I was going 1:2 I would be valuing it at around 90alchs worth on HC. I would of gladly taken his offer as he seemed to be getting a lot of good feedback but since I felt the 30alch difference was pretty big I didnt want to take it.

This game's difficulty makes no sense >: (
Everyone's like 'oh man general gravicious is a badass be careful' I can just sit there and shoot him and he dies but then that motherf*cking kole dude is just like HURR SMASH SMASH and i die
>: (

General is one of the easiest bosses in the game, i would say. His Meleedmg is low, he moves very slowly and his spells can easily be dodged/tanked. (getting a few hits from his meteor is no big deal) Only annoying fact about him personally is his ES, so the fight can drag out for a while, since he lives forever. Problem is, that the whole barracks is filled with annoying as hell offscreenshock/shieldchargern... (And some ppl like obstikal love to pull them into a fight with the general... ) So clearing the area is probably more dangerous then the general himself.
|
Those are both known to be killers, but for different types of characters. Gravicious boasts a wicked molten shell, which procs off absorbed physical damage and does a crazy amount of point-blank damage. Obviously if you just shoot him he becomes a glorified firestorm spammer.
Koll is essentially just Brutus on steroids, so melee-type characters with strong armor might be like herpderp but ranged characters who may or may not have effective armor levels due to difficulty matching equipment can get gibbed.

Sure! I just wanted to suggest ways to make the game more exciting, since some ppl complained about boredom and how there are some too easy areas. Otherwise i can recommend playing against tons of alchemists in a maze, and then let obstikal lure them all right in front of your recovery spot, and then running away. Seriously, i have no clue, how ppl can say, that game has no exciting moments... You just need the right teammates!

well of course I dont want to make the game dull !! I'm not only playing the game for my entertainment but for others too ! I just do things like that when I see ppl having too much of a easy and boring time
