With so many new people coming in with open beta you are bound to get bargains or rip other people off. 1 alc is a bargain for ele hit but I dont know if it is as valuable as Chain. Hardcore is the same you just can't die and will get snubbed at by elitists is you dont play it  | ||

The game is so much more social without it... it really feels like an MMO. Anyways, I just specced into Chaos Innoculation on my 72 witch. Which means I have a bunch of very nice rare armor that has +life lol. So... WTB Helm/Gloves/Belt/Ring without +life and with +ES or other sick offensive witch stats. Looking for end game items, paying up to exalted each. Holla at krystyliz in game (SC) Or send me friend invite to chill! | ||

Do you guys think this will change? I wouldnt say HC is about pride. It's an entirely different game with different strategy and rules. Not a better game, but different. I dont have a ton of time to devote to PoE, so I am doing HC only to get the most adrenaline for my buck. Trading in a barter system is based on the value each person has on each item on each end of the equation. There is also value added in actually making the trade in a new contact and fun activity, so you can typically make trades at a favorable value to you. There was a story of one dude who traded up through craigslist from a paperclip to a house in something like 40 or 50 trades on their barter board. There is also real (not anecdotal) evidence that I haven't linked here. | ||

The way they have pitched trading in the game is this: "We have large trade-system plans that are underway. Although we haven't discussed the specifics publicly yet, we've mentioned that it's integrated with the website. Our plan is that people can trade items without having to load the game client (good luck getting any work or study done now!)" How exactly they are going to implement it is still a mystery, but it was pitched more 1 and a half year ago and they have claimed to be working on it for at least a year, so I think we can expect a pretty serious feature, | ||

For me HC is just for the challenge. In SC there is no way to lose. In HC... there is. I got my 2nd death yesterday (a2 merci) and well... it hurts! But somehow it is also refreshing, it keeps you excited, it gives you something to fight against. And you better keep your hands at the controls ^^ Even the easiest docks can turn into hell in a splitsecond, when some superdogs melt you down. Actually both my chars that died i never touched again since then. ^^ SC i could play through probably once, but then? naaaah. | ||

Might be worth doing now that it awards a quicksilver flask, but you can normally get one as a drop while you farm ledge. | ||
