GCP's have a strange value in that they're not actually used in the way that they were intended. Based on market value and what quality gems go for relative to GCP's you'd be silly to upgrade an item below 17% quality. What I really wish someone would do is either data mine/hack the drop values of items and compare it to a correlated table of values for the rarity of rolling a particular set of mods. That way we'd at least have an objective measurement of: how much time it takes to find an item based on drop rate vs (map density vs average mob hp vs DPS) and what it would be worth. I'm almost tempted to make this info myself but I don't know if we have access to the drop rates of things like currency or if we know the full formula for rolling items. Really though I just wish GGG was smart enough to not have gone with their obsolete barter system and instead used a proper currency + stock market + auction house system. | ||

Exalts will be a lot more valuable once people start using them actually. Right now it's pretty easy to get upgrades for cheaper than an exalt for almost everyone. That won't be the case in a month or two. | ||

But I guess to a certain extent a good offence yada yada I can see act 3 being a lot tougher thou, I guess in the other difficulties act 1 was easy compared to the other 2 aswell. I'll be rolling a HC char now I think but I have had some close calls with lag and desync. I get 240ms, kinda sucks how bad our connection in Aus is to this game seeing how it is made so damn close to us. | ||

After what happened with gold in D2 I think what GGG did was ingenious and I love the lack of an AH after D3. I really like the bartering system and trading with other people, it's populating my friends list a lot faster than D3 did. I do agree thou that the usefulness of certain orbs are not in line with what the general consensus is on what they are worth. | ||

Does anyone have a guide or anything to get rich? I feel as though the economy in this game is so weird right now. I bought an elemental hit gem for like 1 alchemy and just traded it for a chain gem. Most people don't know good prices right now. Do you guys think this will change? | ||
