You will be using 2-3 fire traps and 2 bear traps. You must have Searing Touch for this build as it is difference between OK and great. You will need to fit as many fire traps into the staff as possible (which will not be easy as it is Str/Int item and its slots tent to be blue or red). You can link them with whatever (probably fire penetration as it is red gem and increased duration or increased AoE). For bear traps link both with Added fire damage (and added chaos later). You must use Hatred as it boosts bear trap damage a lot. Also it works good with last part of this build. You need only one quality gem for this build, quality Arc (20% arc gives +10% shock chance for a total of 20%). You put that into spell totem attach elemental proliferation and faster casting and get those two passives that give you shock chance. Get Equilibrium now. Now you throw down arc totem, shock stacks of enemies and give them -50% resistance to cold and fire (what you use with fire traps and bear traps). As for curses you got 3 options: Vulnerability (boosts both physical damage of your bear trap and DoT of fire trap), Elemental Weakness (not explanation needed here), Temporal Chains (boosts DoT of fire trap as well as burning effect and gives you more surviveability due to slow enemies) To add more to this, you can boost your crit chance and crit damage for occasional one shot of rares (you will already be one shotting champions). If you decide to do this you can link increased crit chance or damage to your fire/bear traps (I am not sure if these work with bear traps - description of bear trap says spell but in topic on forums they been saying it does not). Another option is to go Eldritch Battery and get more auras then Hatred, auras like Clarity, Discipline (for more mana) and maybe Purity. Get movespeed boots, with this build you move a lot as traps don't require you to stand in one spot. And for your non-trap skill I use Fireball linked with LMP and chance to burn. BTW, don't forget to take increased burn damage passives near templar. | ||

How easy do you farm Docks? How easy is an equal map for you with your normal gear? I farm Docks with relative ease in 3-4 MF-pieces. Just yesterday i did a yellow lvl66 map with burning patches, equilibrium-debuff, double bosses and some aditional fire-resist. Used 2 pieces (head, andvarius-ring) and it was no problem at all. I lost about 400 ES (due to ES-witch i dont care that much about life) and about 30-40 res overall. | ||

Duelist is pretty much the class that appeals to me the most. I'm kind of interested in the shadow, but that is what my brother is playing, so I want to do something different. The ranger seems meh. I'm not interested at all in the other classes. Has anyone here successfully done a duelist on HC and could give me some advice? I have no problem going slow and using a sword/board and switching to ranged when necessary; I just want to play this class. So any build/playstyle advice would be great, even if I have to build a little tankier than I would on non-HC. Am I retarded for even trying? Should I just play a different class? Honestly, I might just go back to D3 if I can't do a duelist, as that is the only class that really interests me at this point. | ||

I tend to really like the dex melee classes in rpg type games I play. I could do a marauder, but I don't generally like the pure strength characters. While I enjoy doing solid builds, especially if I can customize them to my preference, I'm not going to spend hours (or even minutes) pouring over spreadsheets and fine tuning builds so I can farm 10% more efficiently. Found a chest with 6 sockets, not all linked and would get 7 jeweller orbs for selling to vendor. Is 6 sockets really rare or something? And another question. Found a Chain Gem and how does that differ from Fork when using Split Arrow? It will give a few more "forks", but costs alot more mana and things die fast enough anyway. Does Chain have some other benefits? Thanks. | ||

Yes 6 sockets are pretty hard to find and some people are willing to pay quite a bit for that. I'm not sure where its not linked but I'd ask around trade chat see what people offer. Looking at trade forum most people are wanting ones that are 5link atleast. | ||

I sell 6 socket items for 7 jewelers to vendors. 7 jewelers is almost 2 fusions which is worth 2 alchemy. So unless you can get through trade 2 alchemy or more don't bother. And I am not sure who would pay more for 6 sockets but no links item. Maybe if it as 6 socket and 4L or if it end game base item you could get more. | ||
