I have only 2 games on my PC - Starcraft 2 WoL and Path of Exile. The first and only time I have actually paid to play a beta. And honestly that were the best spend money on gaming in my life.

Will names in legacy/hardcore legacy carry over into OB? I actually don't even know if they're letting names carry over to OB in general lol

You keep your characters but they will be reset to lvl 1 with items wiped (except microtransaction stuff and demis) and characters will be migrated to default or hardcore respectively.

AFAIK yes, but make sure you don't have over 24 characters (I did) if you want to save specific names. Anything over 24 gets deleted. Names are getting carried over in general, but I think I had heard that legacy will be discontinued.

Btw I checked my HDD and I already uninstalled PoE, so I have do download again... I get 30-60kb/s right now. Oh boy.

I'm looking forward to playing OB with any of you, my friends play softcore so I will invest mostly in that but I'd like to play HC some too. Even though right now I have a lot of herp derp moments and get myself killed lol.

I'm going softcore on this one. I started d3 on HC and it kind of ruined it for me. I played from the get-go when it was impossible to get good enough gear (in a reasonable amount of time) to even do Act 1 Inferno at all, but at that point it was also impossible to go back to regular. Going soft just had no meaning anymore after HC.
This time, I'm going soft first.

i thought the game transfers you to softcore if you die in hardcore?

In HC, when you die your character gets moved to softcore, so there isn't a good reason not to start on HC. But do as you like!

You just get moved to default if you die in Hardcore. You lose nothing. The only reason to play softcore(default) is if you play with friends and when one dies, you'd all have to die.

I'm probably gonna start on SC just cause playing with friends and there's bound to be a death or two early on while getting used to the game. Plus it's fun to laugh at each other's deaths.
