Yeah I did it myself just now. I really can't be arsed to download that many GBs every season. It even hurts league starts.

I want to thank the thread for having me go to a standalone client as it had me log into the website. I found when I logged in that I actually got 3 drops during the stream I got footprints a pet and firey eyes.

Should my 3.9 start be Burning Arrow ignite elementalist or trickster?
It seems that with golem changes elementalist should reach higher dps but trickster should have more survivability.

It definitely seems like it's going to be a bow league but I really need to sit and brainstorm something that will be survivable enough to fuck with new/unknown content without getting frustrating

Yeah, I normally find Bow builds much to squishy for my noob playstyle. Might have to try and make a tanky one for this league and finally play a bow build.

I'm probably gonna start with Storm Brand Elementalist, you don't need much items to get it going and the playstyle is nice and smooth. Then I might do some Cospri's CoC shenenigans or sth. I'd love to make another Ice Shot build with Voidfletcher, but with Metamorph being a bow league and Elder being much less accesible it's going to be quite expensive to make

Metamorph is gonna be a tough league to enjoy for non boss killers, I'm pretty sure. I'm not yet deciding what I wanna play, but it's most certainly not going to be a bow char as those usually end up too squishy without great gear which is going to be grossly expensive in a bow league.

A miner is probably a good idea considering the burst damage, however I usually end up with too low hp numbers with those as well (which can be an issue against multi-phase bosses). Well, I'll decide later.

Hnnnn I wanted to do a bow build for sooooooooo long, but I also don't like going supermeta cookie cutter builds... maybe a cyclone build, those were always so entertaining.

Does anyone know if in the recent last ~3 leagues, cyclone's been nerfed or not? I don't keep track of balance changes as much as I should.

Cyclone was nerfed after legion but still is a very nice skill from what I've seen.

Yeah it got an AoE nerf, and a quite big one if you were abusing all kinds of +weapon range items. But it should still be a very good and especially enjoyable build to play. Also, if I remember correctly the change actually buffed facebreaker cyclone radius and going facebreaker + champion(/berserker) would be pretty sick damage.

How is the triple herald BV elementalist nowadays? I'm thinking about trying it out in metamorph but I remember BV was nerfed a couple patches back, and elementalist lost the prolif.

I think BV Assassin is the go-to BV build these days, great damage and clear. I can only assume that various nerfs to the build has made BV elementalist mediocre.

I wish I didn't have so many obligations this december. Participating in the HCSSF bosskill race would've been fun.

yeah I've seen the assassin BV builds but it's been a while since I played some Elementalist so I would prefer to use the og BV build. I'm gonna PoB this and see what the numbers look like for Ele.

I don't think i can take another league of trade so whether its SCSSF or HCSSF... not sure.

Thanks to the cool Zizaran(+GGG) event I'm sure the vast majority of the well known streamers will play HCSSF, even more so than before. So yeah, playing there will probably fun for these messages.

You can see most of them coming if you are experienced. Tanky builds also nullify most of the threats, but not all of them of course. For me it's more the fact that the servers are unpredictable. I reached lvl 90 in HCSSF two leagues ago, was super fun without connection issues.

Man I wish I had the balls to play HC in this game or had the needed knowledge on how to craft to play SSF

Triple Herald (Mastermind of Discord) + lots of golems (Elemancer) is a solid foundation for damn near any skill. And bad gear too. The golems alone boost a bunch of damage and survivability stats. Mathil did this with Static Strike early in the league and that sort of build could be easily molded to work with pretty much anything. Even though it's static strike and "uses" voidforge, there's hardly any lightning damage or sword stuff on the tree. Very adaptable. I'd definitely bet that he includes it with his starter builds for next league. I'm sure BV would be great, if you're really feeling that in particular.

The way the golem effects scale from the Liege of the Primordial and Elemancer ascendancies is really sick. Solid stuff.
