I personally went with Raise Skeleton + Feeding Frenzy instead of SRS (+ most of the other minions too ofc), and it's really good thanks to the Dash. Also doesn't need any mana investment as you only need to cast 2-3 times and for packs 1 time generally is enough.

It's a super fun league, Blighted maps are just stupid overtuned and GGG will nerf / fix them in a days I hope. I would suggest anyone to not run them just yet, especially not on HC.

Yeah, got a t1 that I ran and it was completely insane when I normally breeze through a map even killing bosses in 2 seconds.
As always balance is a 'tiny bit' off.

Are the enemies on the blighted maps actually stronger than random blight encounters on ordinary maps of the same tier? Or is it just because of the overwhelming amount of them

I was waiting to watch all of these streamer updates til after I got to experience some of the new stuff myself (just got to maps last night, slower than usual), but if they're not worth running right now then maybe I'll take a peak.

Depending on the build they actually are doable and worth it, I've managed to clear 3 in a row after failing my first two. That said, it was laggy since there was a huge amount of effects and monsters. Gotta build a ton of towers and keep upgrading them when possible, then it's doable but still rather tough.

I succeeded at my first one (summoners are OP this league) and then lost the instance just as the timer ran out :\ . Gonna wait to run any more until they do some hotfixing.

I'm trying to craft an elder belt for my str stacking zombie guardian, and I'm not sure what would be the best way to go about it.

The stats I'm looking for are (in order of priority): %attributes, high str roll, energy shield, mana, resistances + flask mods, armor.

Fossils are annoying because some add useless suffixes. And the problem with essence of rage is that even deafening essences are worse than a t1 natural str roll. And chaos spam just seems so old fashioned.

Maybe I should just suck it up and use shrieking essence of rage to guarantee atleast 50 str and just settle as soon I hit t1 %attibutes.

Should probably go with Essences, they're dropping fairly often in this league. I'm playing SSF this league and enjoying this league more than Legion so far.

Yeah, I'd agree essences are the way to go short of chaos spamming.

Trundling along in SSF; not sure what my goals are now I've downed uber elder (5L slave drivers in Pledge of Hands are preeeeeetty good) - saving up jewellers/fusings to 6L the staff (and my chest's 5S4L, heh) but if I've killed uber elder ...
Just had a Shavs drop as well, so I might try to go LL and throw some more auras around - I've been trying to farm yellow/red elder guardians for a Memory Vault, but no luck yet (though I have ~80% of the other drops). Enjoying the league more than Legion, for what it's worth.
Looking forward to the Blight map improvements - been hoarding them for 3.8.1.

Same, got a few dozen Blight maps saved for the patch, and enjoying mines in Blight way more than Cyclone in Legion.

And I dropped this little beauty yesterday. Not sure what to do with it, my build is already complete, did deathless uber several times already. But it sure is a rush

I have started a guardian sentinel build, and the guides i have seen either don't use golem or stone golem and not Carrion. I opted for Carrion. But was thinking that the golem buffs is rather nice so thinking about anoiting Golem Commander or is there a better passive to use.

Definitely Carrion golem since you're a minion build basically. As for Golem Commander, it depends. Ravenous Horde might be as good, and if it helps you get another aura in, Charisma might be worth considering as well.

Rerolled Ice Shot / Scourge Arrow Raider and it's nice to not constantly have 15-20 fps during mapping like my summoner Necromancer, it's actually lag free now. All my disconnects (things like "Present", "Map") are happening from Syndicate (mostly Vorici research), else none for me either.
But it'll take quite a long time to feel as powerful as my summoner, if I ever manage to do so.

Thinking of going Poets pen with VD and Desecrate. Is that also laggy? What are good non laggy builds.
Find this patch rather annoying. Game crashes and logs me out 1 time before playing. The syndicate give crazy lag.

I'm not sure about Poet's pen VD, it might work without much lag. One crazy good build which should be non laggy would be Scourge Arrow poison Pathfinder. It's decent on budget but requires some fairly expensive items to get full power. There's multiple builds for it, one is here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2551841

But it always depends on if you are generally having trouble with lags, the build is non laggy for some people for sure. Crashes are still mostly limited to research missions from Vorici to me.
