Also, empty 720's are so easy to see, it's all about the whiffed body slam -> u1

Can't wait until friday! There also supposed to have SxT playable there too! Is anyone from TL going?
I dunno about this prediction. There are some heavy hitting Japanese that will be coming to EVO and they are way ahead in AE technology. Confirmed names:
Daigo, Tokido, Mago, Kindevu, Momochi, RF, Shiro, Choco, Kayo
unconfirmed, but said to appear: Shungoku, Nyanshi, Fuudo
I think at least half of these names are going to be in top 8.

I was just doing a top five, I'm sure most of those guys will be in the top ten at least but as much as I think the Japanese will body everyone else I have to root for the underdogs. I'm sure there going to be a few upsets this weekend. Go US of A!

There are so many players and rounds to go through that even the best of them can get randomed out pretty easily, even with 2/3 sets double elimination. It's not like anybody is more likely than not to make top 8, even Daigo. In addition to the long list of Japanese killers, I hope nobody's sleeping on any decent player from the US, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or even Europe or anybody else that shows up.
It's a large bracket.

yeah, the biggest cheers are definitely going to be any American that beats Japanese.
Funny thing also is that no Japanese players are in the same pools. I'm expecting the worst. lol
Biggest match in pools: Alex Valle vs. Daigo
Can you imagine if Valle beats Daigo considering he'll be defeating him with a character he dropped for a top tier?

Thanks dude That changes everything
@Zlasher. I know about Phoenix man, its just that, (at least to me), they have a long way to the round of 8, I feel most of them might get blown up at the Top 16. I do acknowledge I could be very wrong though because its PHOENIX (and I know she's not a coinflip)
Back to SF, So many Jap players are going, but I think sooner or later they'll kill each other off

He is going, he's signed up and checked in and he recently tweeted that he found a way to go.

I honestly think there'll be so many phoenix's in top 16, that the only non phoenix teams in top 16 will be the names we expect. Combo, Wong, ChrisG maybe. Thats it. Ther'ell be a lot of phoenix
I definitely missed out on THIS many japanese showing up to evo, wouldn't be surprised to see 5 or 6/8 top 8 being from japan. But I stick to my predictions because I know I won't get 8/8 correct haha. I won't even get 6/8 correct but I might as well go for who I think the favorites are to make it, but plenty upsets will happen.

A friend of mine just started up a new web show called Beyond Technical. Basically, its to help new players get into the game and become better. So far he has published 3 episodes ranging from him just playing and explaining what he is doing to going through all of the SSF4 terminology which can be super confusing. Please check out his youtube channel and comment/leave feedback so we can improve the show and also tell us what you would like to see! In the future, he will be doing some live streaming also.

That can only mean that Sak's fight against the twins really is hopeless......

Calling it. Shiro kills errrrrrrrrrrrrrrryone. Makoto fighting!

Sako was supposed to go, but HORI changed their mind about funding him to go there. IMO they made the right decision. lol

I dunno if I can agree with that. Sako is a really good player. His Cammy was really dangerous in Super at least.

Isn't Sako their best player by like a lot (I actually don't know most/any of the team)? Does that mean hori isn't sending anyone?

I think Tatsu and AndyOCR are going, pretty sure they're both on Hori.

The thing is Sako has this bad habit of losing to American players.
