im kinda pessimistic about the patch. even if they get something more done than +10 damage here -1 invinframe there, pc version is probably 6 months extra, capcom style.

I don't understand why they are so long for that.
I've always heard that patching a game on Steam is 100x time easier than patching for consoles.

As far as I can tell, its all because the Capcom Japan devs who do the patching only work on the console versions / arcade versions. Then after they're done, they send the code to Capcom USA who does the pc patch. Thus the PC version isn't even started until the console has a workable bugfree version

Final Round is going live in just under two hours.

Website: http://www.finalround.org
Schedule: http://www.finalround.org/schedule.cfm

Feed 1: http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky
Feed 2: http://www.twitch.tv/funkyp

SSF4AE will be on a little later in the day. The player pool looks awesome. Here's a partial (not-quite-finished) list:

http://www.finalround.org/results/FR15sf4.cfm

I believe this list just includes those who have arrived and signed in. Notably missing from the list are Latif and Xian, but both are attending and they have a schedule, they just apparently haven't arrived yet. That or the list is incomplete; I dunno. Still, it's a really good list of players. Excited for this weekend.

Edit: Feed 2 might have some SF4 casuals going before the event starts.

I miss when everyone played SF. The other fighters dont get anywhere near as hype.

Everyone is still playing SF, though.

SF still has the largest community of any fighting game. You don't know the struggles of playing less popular games.

And SF4 has the highest player pool this tournament as well, with Marvel a reasonably close second.

I stopped watching when AE came out cause watching Yun cakeroll tournaments was frustrating. Since then ive tried catching tourneys here and there and its all marvel or people streaming sfxt.

Even now more people are watching spooky stream marvel than the AE stream.

Those days are looong gone. Yun got nerfed, and Yang fell off the NERF tree and hit every NERF branch on the way down. The game is reasonably well balanced (look at Xian taking majors as Gen) and you usually see most of the cast represented in any big tournament.

And more people are watching Spooky's stream because it's the main feed, and also because the other stream is offline.

Eh, SFxT is just a newer game, but it's much less popular. Marvel gets more viewers/pot monsters but has a smaller competitive community, and it doesn't really take anything away from SF's community.

Well that is definitely exciting news. Daigo still play? I see wong/combo/ross on the roster for SF but no Daigo

Daigo still plays, but I don't think he's playing in this tourney. He doesn't show up in the event list anywhere.

Last year I think Daigo only came to the states for Evo, CEO, and the 25th Anniversary tourney? Japanese players don't travel to every major.

It's one of the US majors, yes. It's in its 16th year.

I finally succeeded in doing Viper's FFF > Ex seismo > Burnkick > Ultra combo.
Holy shit, must have spent 10h in trianing mode just for that one. ~~

It's a little step, but damn I'm happy about it.

Ok, thanks for the answer! (Got nothing better to do this night, so why not watch?)
