There were 3.5 Phoenix teams, who played a total 22 (might have been 23?) games over 7 matches. Mine in losers R1, F. Champ in winners R1, Viscant in Winners R1, F. Champ in losers R2, Noel in G2 and 3 of losers R2, Viscant in R2, and Viscant in the finals.

Out of those 22 games, a phoenix won I think 12 (I lost track towards the end). Viscant accounts for 10 of those wins.

Out of all those games that a Phoenix team won, Phoenix wasn't even involved in some.

Out of those 7 matches that a phoenix team won, a Phoenix team won 3. Viscant's Phoenix team was the only one who won a single match.

Mine, F. Champ, and Noel (the other Phoenix teams) lost every one of their matches, and won a combined 2 games in all their matches.

Every Phoenix that lost was beaten by a non-Phoenix team (meaning that no Phoenix eliminated another Phoenix).

My conclusion? Phoenix is strong, but counterable. Kind of like every character who is high tier. The only difference is that a few months ago people thought she was completely broken so they learned her and stuck with her, and now they don't want to go back because she's still at least top tier. Viscant didn't win because of Phoenix. He won because he was better today.

The problem is that it takes zero skill to build 5 meters and then mash with Phoenix. But to counter her you need to combo into snap and then have an insane mixup game to get her before she can hard tag.
