Dracula's riddle is a riddle site made a few years ago. You play a person on the road to Transylvania. To go on this journey you must solve riddle after riddle. The site is extremely long with over 100+ riddles in the first version. I just happened to stumble along this site a few weeks ago and have gotten past the first fifty riddles.

I must admit a lot of them are hard and some (only a few) were only solved through luck alone. I teamed up with a clan member and we've been having tons of fun with this site and I thought I'd share it with you guys.

http://www.draculasriddle.co.uk/index2.html

Like I said I hope TL can get into this and if anyone needs help, I don't want to post answers but I can give clues through PMs and such. Don't hesitate to PM me. I will regularly update this post if I have anything new to add. Enjoy and I hope you don't rip your hair out like I did.

Note: At first I was scared to go through this site because I was afraid of screamers (lol) but I can guarantee there are no screamers. Some of the clues are quite creepy so this is not for the feint of heart (read: pussies ( I am one) ). All of the creepy stuff is done in good taste in my opinion.

Another Note: There is a version 2.0 of Dracula's riddle that is up to date but I am hoping to finish the first one before I attempt the second one.

Damnit another note: It explains how to solve the riddles but for those that are not familiar with the web (again lol) to solve the riddles, you must think of an answer and after that type it into the address bar and add .html at the end.

Yeah I would say the first few are very easy. It gets cryptic around 20-25 I'd say. Zest isnt harder than this its about the same.

Haha me too, the first one was pretty straight forward but I don't know much about vampires so this is tough. Unless it has nothing to do with vampires in which case I'm a complete retard.

If you look at the bottom left of the picture you see it says bag.zip backwards. If you enter that into the address bar you can download a file, which gives another clue.

If you highlight the text underneath the picture, you see 3 extra words, you remove those 3 words from the phrase and take the first letter of each word of the new phrase and thats the answer.

If you check the source of the website there's also a riddle1.mp3. I'm at work so I cant put effort into this. Will try at home :-)

I've seen this before, can't specifically remember the name of the site however. In my opinion, these are more entertaining with a group of friends. Still a good way to blow a few hours (or more if this is your thing.)

Edit: Seen this type of game, web browser based riddle.

Once you understand the nature of that river, you realise that the question in plain sight makes perfect sense...

A question was asked, how does that fit in with the river and the nature of the river?

nineyears.htm worked fine for me.

After doing a few more of these they're kind of lame, they're not really riddles as such, more navigating around webpages.

I understand that the other words in the picture stand for the other rivers but I can't figure out how styx fits in. I used "hate" "styx" neither work...

+ Show Spoiler +
Look at the clue below the image a bit more closely and relate that to the styx

+ Show Spoiler +
I tried the time (nine years) but it doesn't work in any way I enter it -_-

+ Show Spoiler +
nineyears.htm worked fine for me.

After doing a few more of these they're kind of lame, they're not really riddles as such, more navigating around webpages.

Thats what I love about it. Its a bit different than a normal riddle.

Same. Though it might have something to do with primes but that doesnt make a lot of sense. Does it look like the skull has writing on its forehead to you?

The numbers in imaginary are coordinates in a Cartesian plane, the x axis is the real direction.

i'll give you a tougher clue first, i dunno why i got this one quickly, but it seemed logical to me...the first step is to think back to the town it mentions, what did you ask for there?

Stuck in Her Cemetery, puzzle 51.

+ Show Spoiler +
Source code shows pi/2, which I believe refers to radians, which would mean to rotate it 90%. I still can't make any letters out though, other than the 'E' near the end, or the beginning, depending on how you rotate it. I might be missing something obvious here. It's in aljiba.

you probably aren't connecting them together properly. try to think of other ways to do that, I can't give more help without ruining it for you. Once you connect them together properly the answer is fairly obvious.

I've been debating putting in a hint section to the OP. I don't know if this would ruin the overall experience for new people coming in. What do you guys think?

We have a lot of people here who are pretty far along. I myself am stuck around the 70's and if I had some clues to the original ones I would have had way more fun.

Should I start a list of hints in the OP?

Yeah, sure, but there is a forum page with hints all over it, but for teamliquid members that would really be helpful.

Speaking of helpful, can you help me on level 68? I'm pretty sure it's trying to say something about previous levels, the crucifix and all, the guidance, which is probably some reference to christianity, and the source code which is most likely in latin that I can't translate. God, took me forever to get from 67-68 too, took our group a whole of like 10 asian AP students to figure out what it was finally saying with the inverted stuff. Now we're stumped.

If you highlight the text underneath the picture, you see 3 extra words, you remove those 3 words from the phrase and take the first letter of each word of the new phrase and thats the answer.

Nevermind, I was ignoring the phrase in the center. I thought it was flavour text, since it was useless last riddle.

And what does upside down bag.zip have anything to do with anything?

Can't get the answer to imaginary... i got it that the part with "i" is imaginary and i should probably ignore it but what do i do with the real numbers? I tried the letters of the alfabet that correspond but it's just some random rubbish?
Also tried abscissa .htm/html/jpg and xaxis...

there are two pictures. the first picture is oldoak-a, so I wonder what the second picture might be called? think of numbers like plotted points on a chart. maybe the two hidden pictures are related in that way.

I think after you get past the first three or four screens you start to get the hang of solving them. I found I went pretty quickly from like screen 7-20.

Anyone doing number 9?

+ Show Spoiler +
I know which are true and which are lies. I know the answer, but I would really like to understand the clues numbered 6 and 9. For clue 6, you take two steps from "c" along the alphabet. It is the half step that I'm confused about. And of course clue 9 has me stumped.

Clue 6 is musical notation. 2 and a half steps right from E is G#/Ab. The letter is "A". I forgot which one clue 9 was.

Look for meaning in the letters. You can play the game or figure it out by sight. It was faster for me to just look at the word scramble and figure it out that way.

I found the first one from a wiki, and there's more than one version of the map. There's a clue that gives you the filename though.

still stuck on 74 found what's missing, cant make the change, does one of the letters change entirely i take it, i've tried anagrams of the missing word, that are still real words but i still cant get it. the tHe-->otherS are the placements of the capitals important, or just the letters themselves, or both?

I tried adding 1 to each letter numerically so I got:
SJFOXCS

B is "2" in the alphabet so I changed it to "3"
RIENWCR

Still meaningless to me unless it's an anagram for something I'm not seeing yet. I feel like this is gonna be one of the ones when I solve it i'm gonna feel REAL dumb.

think more about the arrow, rather than the numbers ------> and 2 to 3, you're current method of change makes the arrow irrelevent

Well, I solved the second line for 69, tell me if it's right gulf :D.

+ Show Spoiler +
All prime numbers, so the next one would be +17 and then it would be 59, so I plot 5=x and 9 = y?

stuck on 81...obviously i'm trying to get rid of sets of letters to essentially leave an answer for me to read, but i'm unsure what it means by inversion...

+ Show Spoiler +
i've tried sets that give words when read backwards, i've tried the whole A=Z inversion, and seeing if any of them contain 2 of the same letters once inverted that way, i've tried flipping them upside down and counting ones that only have real letters left...

Dam I suck at these riddles
Dracula's Riddle 2 feels so much easier since I was actually able to get past the 2nd riddle without cheating .

Just wondering if anyone else tried them out since I'm stuck on Glimmering Road and don't know what to do.

You're on the right track, but it's none of those. (I tried them all too though.. so frustrating )

man stuck on the last riddle...
+ Show Spoiler +
ok so i found a hidden word on the picture 'm***' this takes me to a page titled the start, following the obvious path i get stuck at a statue, so i'm obviously going wrong somewhere. Its implied its a maze so there's possibly a different path i need to take from the 'start' page...

Damn I'm only up to ~90 and I'm 26 days in. I've been doing it quite casually though.

Grrrr, can someone PM me the answer (or at least a huge hint) to level 63?
+ Show Spoiler +
Im getting really tired of "listening to the silence" and not being able to understand what that silence.mp3 is saying whatsoever. Its annoying because I feel that my ability to hear an ultra low volume mp3 shouldnt be the deciding factor for a riddle

Oh, that whole thing, i'll pm you what its saying if you want it?

Or you want clues instead of what its saying?

it is pretty simple but i got stuck for a good 20 minutes lol, the way the words are positioned is important, the meanings of the words are irrelevent
