Euro truck simulator is a legitimately good game. There's something almost...Zen-like about it.
Personally I'm desparately trying to hang on and not buy anything. I already have far too many games in my backlog and little time to sit and play properly. >_>

I'm torn on Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition (75% off, costs $5 right now). One hand, I already own the original on PS3, albeit without the DLC. The DLC itself costs $10 on PSN. On the other hand, didn't order a PC that is capable of really playing it yet, so it'll be sitting in my library for a while and I end up getting the DLC for $5. Is there any compelling reason not to just get the PC version and opt for the PSN version instead?

I have - but not much really. Not enough time put into that and guess I lack motivation. But from what I played, it's really cool way to learn how to actually play a guitar. There are lessons starting from absolutely beginner stuff like how to hold your guitar/pick, so no matter your level, you can pick up the guitar and just start playing. Just be sure you have the cable for it.
As for Dark Souls on PC - go for it. the DLC is absolutely great. And I usually hate DLCs.

Rocksmith is obviously not equivalent to an actual teacher, but still does the trick to some extent. Supplementing it with online material is definitely recommended.
Then there's also the cost of the actual guitar itself, which you shouldn't skimp on if you actually want to learn how to play.

is euro truck simulator comparable to just driving around in the gta world?

Broken age act 2 seems like it's gonna come out early 2015 so I'm thinking of finally buying it (66% discount) and waiting until next year to play it

I've been contemplating Rocksmith myself actually. My sister bought an electric guitar a few years ago which works just fine so all I'd really need is the cable and software.
Its very tempting I have to say...I want to learn a couple more instruments next year now that I've finished Jazz Clarinet grades.
@ahswtini: Its a mix of...well...a truck driving game and a management sim. You start off by taking jobs as a freelance driver until you can buy your own truck. Then you get your own truck and start pulling cargo with it. You have specific time limits and if you damage the cargo you lose money and if you damage your truck you have to repair it and all that kinda stuff. With time you buy more trucks and hire drivers to run loads for you and they develop skills over time. Then you start expanding by buying more garages and stuff like that.

regarding Euro Truck Sim 2:
is it better to get the 9-items Collector's Bundle or just the Christmas Bundle is good enough?
the Collector's Bundle has more games to it apparently, but it lacks the High Power Cargo Pack of Christmas Bundle though

In that case get thst one, you'll be able to transport helicopters, yachts and more.

Bought GTA IV from nuuvem (around 2,45 €). They have Batman pack (all 3 games with dlc packs ) for like 4.7 € . All time low i think. For now nuuvem has better game deals then steam.

I am not sure about the Pack though But the Collector's Bundle with extra games does look tempting, even though I know I am not gonna touch those games XD

I'd suggest ETS2 and the its DLC personally. It's basically the best game I have for listening to some music and relaxing. Strange.
