GFWL isn't closed yet. It will be on the 1st of next month.

dark souls says it doesnt save your progress, but thats bluff, i played it offline just fine.

Ok thx for answers guys GFWL is deal breaking for me.I have already finished ds1 and i just want it in my library for future use.

A while ago Bandai Namco posted a short blog saying that they were going to look into alternatives to GFWL incase it does shutdown (which Microsoft has said it isn't going to yet, but who knows really). So in the future they may be switching it to Steamworks.

It has a demo (I played one). Try that, it wasn't a demo I enjoyed, not my game.
A lot of other people praise the game, so it's probably worth the 6$.

Well, I already know, roughly, what I'd get from the game, and I know that I enjoy the style of game.
I just don't know how much play time that $6 will actually get me.

I dont think ive "won" a single community choice yet, fuck! Still got moneys sitting in the wallet begging to be released. If the "Stealth" quadrant wins, i may pick up Batman : Origins. Anyone have any thoughts on Batman Origins? I heard its not great, nor is it bad, but more of the same, which is fine imo just wonderin.

I'm pretty grumpy the fighting games didn't win the last community choice. I guess they'll go onto flash deals later.
I'm disappointed how many early access/alpha games are getting on daily deals. Doesn't seem right.

Completely agree, i also wanted the fighting games to win, and im just sick of all the Early Access games in general, not to mention they are taking up valuable sale slots!

i dont understand this community choice stuff.

they're flash sales that are voted on by the community. There is 2 options of 4 games(each with varying discounts that are normally higher then the average discount). For like 7 1/2 hours people vote on which of the 2 bundles they would want to see. After that they results are tallied and the one with the most sales becomes the Community Choice sale for 8 hours. Rinse repeat for 2 weeks every 8 hours.
Also at arkham origins, yes, it is good, yes you should like it assuming you liked cities and asylum. I thought cities, asylum, and origins were okay as games once you factor out the "Batman" name, but they truly are some of the best batman games ive ever played and I would easily recommend you pick up any of them especially for 10 bucks or less a piece.
Also to the person who said they were sick of all the early access games, 150% fucking agree man. It seems like half the games I looked at or have been discounted in some way are Early Alpha, Early Access games. It's like fuck, just finish the damn thing and let people play. I can't even tell if its good because they don't stagger the reviews so a new build may of come out that really fixes a lot of the issues but I can't tell and pass on it because it's too big a risk.

I didn't finish it. Liked Asylum and City a lot. Origins is pretty much a rehash of City except nowhere near as polished (level design etc.)

Yeah, was really looking forward to fighting games. I guess the Sims name was just too powerful.

is the wasteland 2 beta worth playing or should i wait for the final release?

I wonder if theres any chance that trackmania 1 will go on sale, would definitely pick it up for 50% off.

For those games always wait for full release unless you really want to test for inXile. It's only half of the game. It's simple to get what half an experience in a story driven game means. So playing beta wouldn't be mainly for the entertainment but for testing the game. I don't know why they give out early access on steam, I thought higher of them. Beta was supposed to be for the backers to ensure the product for everyone who cared in the first place and backed the game.

Well, actually inXile is not that kind of company. At least that is what you get from their games and actions. I hope they won't do an early access for T:ToN. It only hurts the industry. I might make a thread on their forums about that soon.

All these early access games on sale is really stupid. It's bad enough to put unfinished games on steam with no guarantee they will get finished, but actively selling them in a steam sale is just so lame. I guess it's ok for unique games like Kerbal Space but not for zombie survival number 3623.
