I've bought Chivalry some time ago, and even though it's much better with friends, just playing it on your own online can be very rewarding and fun to do. It's aesthetics are really good and the feeling of hacking through someone is just amazing. You've gotta like medieval weapons though! | ||

My personal tip for this round is Chivalry, simply because it's the only game with medieval/melee combat that's fun as hell, well balanced AND skill based. Check this video and then make up your mind, explains the combat best imo: | ||

Chivalry is a very fun game with some depth in its combat. compared it to war of the roses and i found chivalry just more enjoyable <really disliked war of the roses squad spawn thing and also hate when you kill someone they fall over but you have to commit to a 5 second kill animation> | ||

You parry attacks by pressing a button AND looking towards where the attack comes from exactly (different based on weapon, angle, type of attack). If you parry an attack your counter comes out faster than any possible attack your enemy can make, if that one gets parried in return the pace gets faster and faster until someone backs out, feints (you can cancel your attack animation in the pre-swing) or can't keep up anymore. On top of that you can e.g. drag your mouse in the same direction you're attacking (hit connects faster) or drag away from the direction of your attack (hit connects slower). Add to that combos, ducking/jumping over attacks and more than two people and it gets super intense very quickly. I think I actually enjoy duel servers the most tho. <3 | ||
