He 'usually' makes sensible points, isn't a 16 year old kid, and has a small bit of gun knowledge as a bonus. Another good one to look up would be Woodysgamertag. Mature adult that likes doing analysis (like pausing the video and pointing out potential danger spots he could get attacked from, things like that) instead of just running his mouth to the gameplay video of his latest chopper gunner. You don't have to camp in a corner of a building the entire match, but you also don't have to run around with Marathon and Lightweight only to get shot up in the middle of the map. It's just one playstyle, but it can be effective even if you don't have the greatest aim/reaction times (or, you're not a 'god on the stick' as Wings calls it). Works in a lot of games, not just CoD/fps. Depending on how good/bad you feel you are, it's not a bad idea to run around in Combat Training to get a feel for the maps, too. I did a brief run through of some of the maps when I got the game, but beyond a basic familiarity I like playing online as you'll often see people get places you didn't realize you could get to (and/or shortcuts you can take) and likely wouldn't discover nearly as fast (if ever) by yourself. Also, since the patch I've noticed that sometimes my corpse will fall through the ground after dying. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it starts happening in a session it's pretty consistent. It seems that Treyarch has a better balancing team (aka, don't create too much retarded OP shit like OMA toobs, explosive spam in general, killstreak spam, etc.) and great community support, but IW has (had?) way better coders. IW may've put some shit ideas into their game, but those horrid ideas generally functioned quite well within the game engine. | ||
