And that's how I waited out the damn downtime today, reading a novel to pass the time and then... A delay for just 90 minutes?

I am watching without sound so I dunno what the commentators are saying, but the twitterverse doesn't seem to be happy with reid duke's picks.

Just play around a powerful card to start having ideas. Like I want to Unburial Rites to work so I have a skeleton deck built already and slowly picking up lands. Need to find an efficient sweeper though since I have a feeling Rancor is going to make Lingering Souls very difficult to play. Likewise I am looking at (w)UB control as a back up since literally all of its problem cards are gone. No, Caverns isnt a problem card most of the time despite what people think.

I was looking at Unburial rights, but that would force me personally into Esper. Alchemy and Souls are just too strong to pass on imo. Really I would like to try to port RWB zombies from Legacy into standard. Just depends on the lands I guess. RWB Reanimator with Griselbrand and Gisela is still viable imo.

That has to be some intimidating shit. While he played well, he also ripped an Aether Vial the turn after one was taken, then proceeded to rip pretty much every single card he needed back to back. Whereas Shuhei drew 3-4 lands in a row.

RWB Rites with Griselbrand, Gisela and Flayer. If there is another solid target in RtR, that would be nice. Flayer's trigger is very powerful in that deck.

Notice how Shuhei pointed to the Threads of Disloyalty because arguably he could have won if it weren't for that card even with the land draws.

You also win boosters by placing in the top4 or top2 of drafts depending on which format you choose (4-3-2-2 or 8-4). You can also enter using the standard MTGO currency called event tickets. You can also buy those in the store, or get them through trades in the marketplace. I dunno if the price of products is different elsewhere but for me, its pretty much equivalent to going to the store and buying 3 actual boosters to draft.
