Only reason it might be worth it is if Rooney is really marketable. Hmm...

Only reason it might be worth it is if Rooney is really marketable. Hmm... If I remember correctly Ferguson really likes/liked Benzema. The problem would be that Florentino Perez bought Benz and selling him would make him look bad. But the only other option would be selling Higuain, but the Real Madrid fans really like Pipita. I don't know what will happen with Rooney but I kinda feel like he will never be as good as he was with Manu (if he leaves). Rooney to Chelsea would be sweet.

Honestly, this season gets better and better I think they'll be fine actually. The problems this year all have to do with spotty defense and a weak mid field. The defense will sort itselt out and I'm fully confident that if they can address the midfield issues a Berba and Chica/Macheda/Owen partnership can carry the load upfront. Chelsea is one year older (which means alot when your best players are all 30+), City haven't proven that they can compete, and Arsenal... well they're just Arsenal.

Who's the best players for Man U last season other than Rooney? Giggs, Scholes, Van der Sar? Nani is looking good this season though. I'd rather us play against Hernandez/Macheda/Owen rather than any involving Rooney even on this form tbh.
