Diablo 1 had all the right things: poorly lit dungeons, great music, sound effects, NPC dialogs, etc. Who doesn't remember the Butcher's "Aah, fresh meat!" or the poem about the Halls of the Blind? The game had me scared shitless, but then again I was much younger back then. Agree COMPLETELY. All the whiners about how D3 isn't dark enough are forgetting that D2 WAS NOT THAT DARK. D1 was really the only game that got the atmosphere perfect and no game has matched it since. D2 was fun for it's gameplay and the atmosphere was decent. If anything, D3 is an improvement over D2 look-wise.

The excited fanboy inside me went to the conclusion that they're adding in the beta. Don't sweat it, you're not the first that's happened to and I doubt you'll be the last lol

diablo 3 has it's own forums, also has nothing to do with esports, anyway.

http://us.battle.net/d3 My god that looks sexy. Also, apparently you can post in the forums with SC2/WoW accounts =D If you've got an inactive WoW account btw and want to use your SC2 one, your SC2 character ID should be listed under the characters in the top right and just switch to that.

(Spoilers) Click + Show Spoiler + They confirmed the theory that with the Worldstone gone, all "humans"[Nephalem] can now become like this if they wanted to: Humans/Nephalem in Diablo universe all have potential to become the strongest race in the Diablo universe [just like Terran is OP in Starcraft right guys. No j/k, really >.>]. The Worldstone was keeping the powers sealed away but now with that gone... Yep the story sounds interesting.

I just came up with a Pathfinder/D&D campaign with a core premise very similar to this.... now I feel like a hack.

Assuming you have a SC2 account, all you have to do is click manage characters and then select your SC2 account name with the three digit identifier. This can be done while in the forums and will be next to your avatar in the upper right side of the screen (just under "search diablo III").

its actually a brilliant idea, with all the new marketing models for these games. its one of the only ways for blizzard to hype diablo up near release.

Blizzard has said that you will get an email wih directions, DO NOT CLICK LINKS IN EMAILS, lots of scams going around as per usuall. So if you think you may be in beta; Log on to B-Net and Check to see if you see a Diablo 3 Beta Icon appear. I repeat again, for your safty do not follow links you recieve in emails from what call them self Blizzard. Type in your own URL's to get to B-Net and log in as you usually do. The risk is that the link you will get LOOKS like B-Net login but will swipe your info and jack your WoW or other accounts. Beta keys are not being sent out yet, so big warning if you are recieving an email with a beta invite, it is more than likely a scam.

The way to choose people for beta is they send emails out to a variety of computer spec types to be able to test the game on different hardwares. So if you JUST got a brand new fast computer then update your stuff and you will prolly get an invite, this is what happend for me in SC2 beta, i got a brand new computer and was chosen in the first round of beta invites. Hope that helps someone ^.^ Edit: Regardless if you got a new computer or not, go update. The most recent the better imo.
