yeah the video is true.. im starting to lose interest with no single player mode. I dont like the idea of ppl being able to "buy" top gear. I think its pretty much bullshit honestly. Its too easy to become "good" with good gear. t.t

However the auction house sounds interesting.
I myself was a TPPKer in D2X HC, and it was a lot of fun. HC was so amazing, once you play it you never go back, although only about 1% could withstand it. It got so bad that you would need hacks (anti-drop hack) just to play, because if you didn't you would be drophacked and pk'd (literally 100% of the time), and as Hardcore went, if you died, your character and all it's gear and stash was erased (no ghost to get your body rofl). Which sucked when Warden banned everyone on HC.
HC was just brutal and a lot of fun. Pking people who were ballsy or dumb enough to be in a public game trusting a high level. The level of paranoia and distrust, as well as bravado was just somethign I had never seen in a game. I heard they made something where people have to accept being Hostiled now, so I don't know about it anymore. But PvP arena sounds really lame to me.
Seriously though, you might want to see a psychologist.

It's not as bad as you think. There are still level requirements for armor and weapons, it's not like some noob can buy the best weapon in the game.
Yeah they could. Level their player to that level, then easily buy it. Ppl use to do it in D2. You could get a level 90 in a hour in D2. Then being that level, you could almost wear anything in the game.

Wow, cheating scumbags talking about "brutal" gameplay. I'm so sorry that you won't have the option to cheat and ruin somebody's day by exploiting instead of, you know, actually having to be decent at pvp.
I'm not a fan of most of their decisions, mainly regarding pvp, but if it manages to piss off or alienate cheaters like you, then job well done.

Do you really care if someone you'll never meet buys some items from some other guy you'll never meet?

Indeed, great times for sure. Used to play as a bounty hunter tracking down fellow tppkers, rolled with wtfPK on east. Making a glass cannon fire sorc that could 1shot lvl 95+ bobarbs/Hpallies with triple stacked firebolts and beating all their anti-hack timings.
Most fun days ever in d2 were doing public Hell Baal runs in HC with 8 known tppkers all waiting and fighting for position to get off a kill one each other. Game was straight brutal, people would literally try to make friends just for a chance to set up a kill on you a week later once they thought you "trusted" them. Really disappointed when d3 announced that it would be removing all forms of pvp aside from an arena that they have stated many times they won't even attempt to balance.
I assume they're going to have the option to digitally download so we can play at midnight? Rather do it that way so i can instantly play but I forgot if you were able to play Sc2 right away with it? or WoW for that matter.
This game looks good i'm excited for all the awesome features. On the SC2 website one of the mods said to update your battle.net accounts so you have a chance at the beta. so i'm assuming its coming out soon.

I seriously wonder if the people complaining about real money AH has never played an online RPG before
if Blizzard doesn't create the real money AH, there will 100% be a black market that will sell D3 items and it'll be ruled by Chinese farmers, botters, and dupers.
people are going to buy virtual D3 stuff whether Blizzard supports it or not.

I really don't see why, its not a major MMO. You will never even get in contact with these people, its essentially a single player game in that sense. Would you rage out if people could buy items in Final Fantasy? I mean cmon lol... if people aren't going to play because of the RLAH, then they are probably just the type of people I'm glad aren't playing.

Seriously? No one even played Single Player on Diablo 1 or BW. No one has complained about the online only single player for SC2. No one plays blizzard games for single player.

That was hardcore. You don't have to play hardcore, and tppk was rampant. If they removed TPPK, that would be fine, but the element of being able to PK people was what made hardcore the most fun. You didn't even have to be a PKer to enjoy it (even though 100% people on HC were either new or PKs), just sitting in a game watching the asshole who wouldn't open a portal for you get PKd by the unsuspicious lvl 99 sorc in Act 2 was just the best thing in the world. Especially when you invited them to the party to do it.
If you want to say cheater, whatever. It's not really like that, everyone on HC had them. I don't think you really understand what HC was like. And even then, the cheats weren't what made HC, what made HC was the ability to PK people and they would have their character erased, and everyone was aware of this. It made a level of paranoia and a sense of 'community' that was unbelievably different and... hostile. I have never seen a gaming community where everyone is just basically trolling each other, where people put MONTHS into getting undercover with a high level clan, to level up a character and gain trust, just so they can PK the leader and show the ear off on their clan's website.
People put their money where their mouth was to. You didn't have shitheads like combat-ex and deezer going WHATS UP BRO because you simply say "k, lets duel". They would either back down like a bitch, or step out of town to duel and get owned. However, this turned to all sort of tricky stuff, as the game wasn't like rock papper scissors, and there were all sorts of items and gear. Yes, the epic gear is the best, but you can make a helluva amazing bowazon PK using shitty gear with a cheapass amulet that 50% chance to cast a spell that increases damage by 200%, or you could have a shitty lvl 50 necromaner who used teleport, combined with a bunch of skeletons and a mercenary with a pike and 1 shot casters. There was all sorts of amazing when big shots got their ass handed to them by people with shitty gear.
My 2 best memories: 1. A guy buys a TPPK program, and over $300 in gear when TPPK first comes out, before casters were strong with synergy and only bowazons could TPPK, and then could only kill low lvl people and sorcs with weak arrows. He offers to duel anyone, and he's been on hardcore for 2 days, bragging about his awesome gear. I challenge him to a duel with my barb, because he has chicken, which autoleaves the game when your health gets low anyways, and he would just kite me anyways
I have an amulet with teleportation charges. GG.
2. I have a lvl 60 druid with shitty gear, but I know how to play. Some sorceress offers me to a duel, and it's obvious she's a TPPKER. So I accept, because with druids you have a shield that makes it so it takes 2 shots to kill you instead of 1. Now this sorc is fully decked out, in about $400 in gear. But what's really crazy, is she had D2LOADER running, meaning she has multiple accounts and characters running at the same time on the same computer. So she brings her shout barb in to give her a lvl 53 Battle Orders, which more than triples her health. Then she brings in her Oak Druid, which has a lvl 53 Oak Spirit, giving her double life to that.
So we 'duel', which is me standing in the middle of the field, and her just stepping out of town really quickly, autocasting Blizzard from 3 screens away, and running back to town. Really lame. So I autocast teleport on her 3rd try, and start hitting her up. She loses 1/4th of her health, and laughs. This goes on 2 more times.
So I say, lets try one more time. She laughs, and says okay. What she doesnt know, is my offhand is a paladin Hammer with Critical Strike Spell charges, and that tornado is a physical damage spell. So I autocast Critical strike, switch weapons super fast, autocast teleport onto her, and kill her. She tries to run into town, but the tornados stun her, and she dies a foot away from town. Despite her maxed out gear, and bringing 3 characters to buff her up, and all her cheats, my lvl 60 druid with shitty gear kills her.
3. So I had a bit of notoriety in D2X, but I was just a random. I was probably the best random, but a random nonetheless, and not in any clan like bluemoon, wtf, or ez. So I make a secret account, and start leveling up a druid. Someone from wtfpk says hey, and joins my game. I know what he's up to, and I offer to duel him. He laughs, and says sure. Now even with tppk, you need to know what your doing. I know he's going to use hacks and teleport on top of me, so I throw tornados upward and he teleports right into them and dies.
I then post the ear all over the forums, and someone who got pk'd by him pays me a large sum (about $50 actually) for the ear. He was pretty humiliated, and I don't think he would've dueled me if he knew it was me.
In softcore, it's just you duel, you die 50 times, you kill the other guy maybe once or twice, and people keep talking shit. Everyone says "no potions" or "Dont cheat!" but they find ways to do it, and it makes things aggravating and no one can be sure who's being honest in a duel. The duels are so fast, people die in a flash to any accident, so you have to duel a million times to be sure of the results. In hardcore, you KNOW the results, and bitches stfu.

Exactly. Lol. Who were you, I actually killed a few of you guys. If I remember correctly, I killed your clan leader's druid. I think he said he kindly let me 'test out my spells on him', as I was a lvl 50 sorc with scrub gear, and then I swapped my gear and autocast Blizz on him before he put up his wind shield rofl.
