Heh. I've been playing QL for a few years now, and I'm only starting to learn duel myself. It's hard because there aren't really pub duels that are active all the time. Even when my aim is on point and I'm hitting close to 40lg and every rail, I can still get rekt by some guy with great timing and tactics | ||

Thanks for the advice that sounds like the best way to do it. | ||

If a new player wants to get into quake now and plays with the new ruleset and enjoys quake and then moves to classic quake where hes up against people who have played for 10 years, he's going to get horribly owned because he has stunted his own development of skills and doesnt even know how to strafe jump properly. As someone who played quake for like 10 years and was in quakelive since the beginning, all quake live needed was a tutorial system that was indepth and a decent matchmaking system. New players were coming in and getting owned by veterans 50-0, quake is a game where if youre far better than someone, the score really shows, and it's pretty demoralising losing 50-0 every game. It's sad to see quake die this way without dignity tbh, its the best fps game ever made T_T | ||
