not banning key champs also a strat if you do it right in a premade. the number of imba champs are around 7 or 8 atm such that if you let the other one pick 1st, you still have 2 more to pick to win that game.
other than heim and shen, i dont think we need to worry about any champ thats are not banned. Taric? grap sion and soraka! i have been experiencing with mass stun line up recently. you want to ban amumu to make sure they have no AoE stun combo and pick taric, sion, panth annie/ryze/morg. + 1 dps. => GG

Akali seems like she would be a decent ban if there were a particularly large number of squishies on your team since A) she easily has enough burst to make them explode, and B) she can quite easily get to them due to the really large distance of her jump
Still tho, i think there are other, better bans/anti-squishy heroes that you would want to take care of, kass, shaco, yi, etc.

Actually we picked Morgana so they couldn't have her and we were going to get Janna but no one knew how to play her.
First loss in about 11 games, I'm pretty happy though because it was a really "high level" game full of early teamfights and control of dragon etc.
Really loving my 1400 elo, doubt I'm going to get higher though.

u were fortunate that it was a solo queue, aoe rape team when everyone is on vent/skype coordinating things is a bitch to deal with

yes i am actualy. get a defendsive team that can turtle turret aka. creeps sweepers => you can push solo freely. if annie mid, you rape her with ur spell shield, no clue how sivir vs vlad though, hvnt meet 1 b4

Spellshield is a nonissue, only bad annies get baited into that shit.

yea, I honestly can't imagine having issues with Sivir as Annie. same concept as the Panth vs. Sivir matchup... your move that she must spell shield is too fast to do it on reaction, so just bait and punish.

You can sometimes shield Q with timing if you don't have much latency(an european or a korean playing on US can't for example), but I guess you can just W if you really are scared.

Sivir can't shield R nor W, and Annie has superior autoattack range. It's kinda the same problem Sivir has with Kassadin - if he levels E and W Sivir's like FUUUUUUUUU.
