if I'm the banner on my team, I purposefully don't ban heimer. Then if they don't ban him either and then pick him, I just counterpick them with Sivir.

other than that though, no I really don't think of counterpicking as much as I think of taking the most powerful hero available for my team.

EDIT: I miss being able to play with competent players. Ranked is currently a big fucking joke with the massive massive skill differential between players of comparable ELOs. Not using normal game ELO to seed into appropriate brackets for season 1 was really quite dumb.

Thats kind of mean to the Heimer, does Sivir rape turrets has hard as creeps? I usually pick Kayle and take mid agaisnt Heimer, it work alright with the splash damage and the heal, but I might switch to Sivir since she is so easy to use.

nunu definitely doesn't rape heimer and he's not a hard counter
he has one skill that counters one of heimer's skills. you definitely shouldn't be picking one of the less spectacular tank/support champs in the game SOLELY to counter the best AP carry's single skill

not saying he is the end-all counterheimer, note i specifically referred to his turrets, just saying that its entertaining to munch on them.

edit: also, i rather enjoy playing nunu, and on TT i would say that he is quite a strong counterpick to deal with heimer's map control with the turrets, on SR, nunu has more issues, but i still enjoy playing him every once in awhile.

Karthus is good vs Heimer too early on, his early game isn't the problem, it's in the midgame when he and his team camps in front of your towers with his trip turret and you just have no way of stopping them pushing your towers

yeah, me and a few friends have a rather amusing strat where we do a heimer soraka mid push @ lvl 5-6 (and after heimer gets golem) that nearly always gets the tower, with a fairly balanced last 3 champ comp, it nearly always becomes 4person push mid with some1 else pushing sidelanes (like nidalee or singed (or insert baller pusher here))

edit: ya @ mogwai, also did an amusing jungle eve counterpick to heimer, just warded golem up and stole that madness every time, got a lot of rage for that game

it's interesting to play a hero nobody screams OP or UP about, you can completely dominate a game and nobody blames the hero, and you can play mediocur, and people won't rage at you for not carrying them. Gotta love Nasus for that...

I'm finding myself getting better with last-hits with SS, but there are certain heroes or comboes of heroes that just seem to shut me down completely, which leads to a less then spectacular mid-late game when I have subpar SS damage...

Soraka is a funny lulzy counterpick to mordekaiser solos. Usually morde will solo 1v2 top , so just send soraka up there and ololol his face. Poor guy could not do a thing.

Yeah, I haven't seen anyone complain about Nasus O_o like a few games ago we were destroyed by some 19-2-12 Nasus and no one in the team said anything about Nasus being op or anything. It's really weird
