if you look at other phoenix players, they can play their other two characters very well. flocker has a good keep away zero with tron, fchamp has dormamu comebacks, and clockwork has the best doom. if any of these guys lose phoenix, i dont get worried. for viscant, if he loses phoenix, i do get worried. he just relies on that wesker haggar mixup in the corner | ||

Haters aside, if I was picking a fantasy marvel player team, Viscant would probably be my first choice. I look forward to see how players adjust to Ultimate... I mean every top tier tier whores to some extent. Either they have Wolvie, Wesker, Akuma... tron or haggar, or Phoenix.. or uses a DHC glitch. Less than a month for Ultimate to get here! | ||

But yeah all top marvel players are tier whores because you can't win if you aren't one, at least 2 of your team needs to be that bullshit teleport/invincibility mix up really hard to block shit. I mean look at players noel is just all teir whore and admits it he picked a team to win jwong even using his storm team still has wesker and akuma, mostly using akuma to poke at people with it's projectile invincible assist then when it hits, hit confirming it into a combo. PR balrog uses wolvie and tron, i say dantae is high but not abuser tier, has alot of shit and mix up's but you don't see too many people being great at him, they just style alot. just look at evo

The reason Fchamp is good at Phoenix is the sick front back and high low mixups (Marn's Zero is this way as well, if you see how many times he sets up crossunders and high low teleport mixups), a lot of this teleport mixing up comes from his Dhalsim mind games in my opinion. I wouldn't say Champs phoenix is necessarily better though, given that in the times they've faced each other, Viscant has won almost every (phoenix vs pheonix) match I think, same with Viscant vs Clockwork and the other socal phoenix players. | ||

On a serious note... reading the changelog at shoryuken dot com... one thing makes me kinda sick. The "big wesker nerf" is just lowering his hp to 1m (lol?) and giving him more tools to pwn... Wesker is perhaps stronger now, GOD i hate that sonofabitch. | ||

I know yipes said during a tourney that he tried to do mvc2 controls in the beginning but decided that ABC top, Sa1a2 bottom just worked better in mvc3. | ||

Raccoon doesn't have an ahvb... I am disappoint. | ||
