I disagree that kids in general shouldnt go to fights though. I enjoyed watching fights including mma from a very young age. I started watching mma at UFC 2. I was only 8 years old. I loved it.

Me linking Shawn Tompkins stats and implying him as one of the reasons why Xtreme couture hasn't been that good lately was dumb of me, I was trying to be facetious but I failed miserably lol =[ Magic~phil~ I can kinda see where you're coming from but I actually would argue that it's great to teach kids the difference between martial arts and MMA in general, as opposed to street fighting out of hate. Mixed Martial Arts is the consequence of thousands of years of perfect martial arts in every culture and bringing them together to showcase how diverse it is, and also, it makes a tactical game out of fighting. Fighting out of hate is wrong, fighting to seriously injure someone and affect their life is wrong. Fighting as a sport and as a tactical game with rules and regulations, and someone (a referee) from keeping the fight from seriously injuring someone, isn't wrong, and I think this is something that is misconceived, especially for teenagers and young adults that don't know better (they like MMA because they like seeing guys get shitkicked). I actually wish high schools taught more martial arts such as Taekwondo, Muay Thai, etc. The discipline needed to take a martial art can be applied in all facets of life. Also, knowing how to defend yourself is important, and the activity too keeps people fit. What I'm saying is if you teach people at a young age the discipline and the actual knowledge of what MMA is, it would remove a lot of the disgusting culture associated with MMA at the moment.

I mean there is a beauty in this sport that many ordinary people ( who do not watch it or know it) will never really see. But come on. Two little girls ? They cant possibly be much older than 7 or 8 years. Thats just to young to see this kind of violence. And even though its a sport its still very brutal thats just a fact. Im just a bit disturbed cause I really felt the two young girls were very disturbed and confused.. whatever .

personally i don't think it's such a bad thing (i proly wouldn't want my kids to see me get beat up if i had any), but i understand individuals have their own preferences with regards to children watching/seeing violence. for what it's worth and as an example of preference, the P4P king in boxing (pacman) lets his kids watch his fights and they are younger than coleman's daughters were at the time of the fedor fight.

If the suggestion is that it's by someone with an interest in MMA I can guarantee you it is 100% inaccurate. Smith winning is more like a death sentence than a blessing. The guy can never be marketed as a good fighter and Le has a huge fanbase. If it's by someone in hollywood who is dumb enough to think Le quitting MMA is worth so much money well, then it is just merely really unbelievable. I'm not sure about the kids watching violence thing and how I would handle that if I was a father, but I do know you gotta be fucking retarded to bring them to a fight you're a +600 underdog for.
