White boy has some decent ups, but he needs work on his handles. Ughh that made me cry somewhat.

I think they're registered, but not in DC. I can't figure out what the "recent change in DC gun laws" he's referring to is, and a 10-minute google browsing didn't help me much, but somehow whatever changed made him wrongly assume he didn't need to re-register them in DC. I'm fairly certain he doesn't live in DC, and being a resident of Maryland I can say it's sometimes pretty confusing knowing the differences in laws between DC and the "DC metropolitan area" that encompasses Maryland and Virginia. For instance.... speeding limits. They were unloaded though, which is what makes the matter a bit more complicated than, say, Plaxico Burress' situation. He had guns that were registered, but elsewhere, and were unloaded, in a place that he's barred from bringing them into (by the NBA, not the law), and then supposedly played a joke in poor taste with them. He's almost certainly not gonna get into any significant legal trouble (probably get fined for not registering them in DC), but the duration of the suspension will be interesting, because it's mostly going to be an image thing. You can't suspend a guy for half a season for bringing in unloaded, semi-registered guns into a locker room, IMO. I mean Stephen Jackson firing a gun into the air during a bar brawl landed him what, 10 games? Can't seriously tell me what Arenas did (while retarded) merits more than that. But he'll probably get more because it's an image backlash during a relatively quiet period in the NBA, and of course there's the whole "making an example out of him" factor. Edit: S-Jax was suspended for seven games. For shooting a gun into the air during bar brawl. | ||
