would brook lopez be a decent trade for rondo?? (rondo is on my team btw) im basically looking to improve my pts/rebs/FT/blks which i think brook can do although there'll be a huge drop off in asst and stls (i'm currently 2nd in asst and basically in the middle with steals)
what you guys think??
Make him add another decent player!

If you're in the middle of steals and you already have Rondo then it's probably not gonna go up any time soon v_v

So... McGrady is apparently not wanted back with the rockets? It is understandable from their long term standpoint if they don't want him next season... If they are planning to let him expire they should just buy out his contract so he can play somewhere.
Anyone else want to see him on the Pistons? :O With a 50% of old McGrady at SF they'd be a good team!! ^_^ I would trade Rip (too many people who fit better at his position) and Tay (he's sucked since 06 or before) for him if he isn't getting bought out.

You know, Sacramento actually has an OK roster, I think they have a lot of the pieces needed to be a championship team, they just need 1 star and 1 big man (Kevin Martin CANT be the best player on a title team, but he'd be an awesome #2).
Jason Thompson - good Tyreke Evans - good + will be better Kevin Martin - very good Nocioni + Casspi + Hawes + Nocioni = very strong backups .
Imagine if they got a real good center and a star-caliber guy... that's a good lookin team!
...
although to the credit of about 10 other teams, there are a lot of other teams (I.E Chicago) in a very similar position who are very close to looking like contenders but missing 1-2 KEY pieces.

The Hawks are a pretty good bunch. Really looking forward to seeing how they do throughout the course of the year. Young, athletic bunch of players with some really high caliber players (Smith, Johnson).
However, their coach is abysmal. Looking forward to seeing if they can hang with the big guns in the East later in the year.

WOW.... how fucked up is this:
The transcript of the conversation between Lawler and Smith, which occurred late in the game, was printed on the Los Angeles Times' Web site:
Smith: "Look who's in."
Lawler: "Hamed Haddadi. Where's he from?"
Smith: "He's the first Iranian to play in the NBA." (Smith pronounced Iranian as "Eye-ranian," a pronunciation that offended the viewer who complained.)
Lawler: "There aren't any Iranian players in the NBA," repeating Smith's mispronunciation.
Smith: "He's the only one."
Lawler: "He's from Iran?"
Smith: "I guess so."
Lawler: "That Iran?"
Smith: "Yes."
Lawler: "The real Iran?"
Smith: "Yes."
Lawler: "Wow. Haddadi that's H-A-D-D-A-D-I."
Smith: "You're sure it's not Borat's older brother?"
Smith: "If they ever make a movie about Haddadi, I'm going to get Sacha Baron Cohen to play the part."
Lawler: "Here's Haddadi. Nice little back-door pass. I guess those Iranians can pass the ball."
Smith: "Especially the post players.
Lawler: "I don't know about their guards."

So, anything interesting happen over the weekend? I was away.

Yea, I didn't catch any games. I saw that DET nearly beat Utah, but ended up losing in OT.

NYK almost knocked off Boston today.
NJN still winless.

Much ado about nothing. They're just trying to fill up the air with small talk, and unlike most americans they don't have families and friends from Iran.
How many countries are represented in the nba? And in how many of them would an American guy who's dedicated his career to announcing basketball games would he have a personal interest? They could have said the exact same think about Peja Stojakavic.

Great shot, but I still can't stand how KG gets away with the screens he gives. The refs let him move, grab, push, elbow, etc. whenever he screens for someone, and it's not like they don't see it because he's always screening for the guy with the ball. One of the most consistent and blatant non-calls.

Pistons offense looked better than I expected, except for Charlie V who was just confused. But the Pistons never beat the Jazz so I'm happy with the result. The Suns demolition is another story...
