Oh Dear, It's your fault for losing to Naniwa. That was fun to watch. Somewhere, out here, careful research is being done to prove that it was all a fluke and the Elephant is still alive. It's already been laid out. Hyun is 'essentially KeSPA' and made it to the finals. But I think the overarching theme will be that Dear, soO, and Stats being the three players to qualify were flukes, and that Innovation/Flash/sOs or some other combination would've been better off. All three kespa players still made it pretty deep into the tournament, but they weren't quite able to cinch the title. Stats and Dear also ran into each other early on, so stats had a hard time going into the loser bracket and then eventually lost to Jaedong(so that's technically another kespa team kill). Also KeSPAbros will continue claiming victory by pointing at the Code A qualifier results. Were the Code A qualifier results one-sided or something? Tried to keep track but it's somewhat tough.
I mean, there are also a lot of ESF/ex-ESF of at least Code A quality in other WCS regions as well, so it's not an entirely fair comparison to make.

Kind of...because it does? Kespa holds qualifiers to see who the best kespa players are (hint hint not jangbi stork fantasy bisu) and then sends them over and they get wrecked

what happened in the end was that the kespa players here got beaten up by foreigners and koreans that don't even really affiliate with eSF, or easier said: people that are not mainly competing in korea.
add to that that most of the kespa pros are not really better than the good eSF players.

if most Koreans winning here are not afficialiated with either KeSPA or eSF, how do you get the conclusion that kespa pros are not really better than the good eSF players.

Kespa and eSF are both a farce, the true competition is between foreign team Koreans and our American hero Polt.

Talk to me about the elephant losing at an NA event to a college student and a grumpy Swede.

They all made top 10 finishes in their first foreign tournament, so I wouldn't consider that 'wrecked.'

sure, innovation, soulkey and rain are outstanding at the moment. we saw such dominances from a selected few players at different stages of sc2 (and even broodwar). but the average code s kespa player is just as good or bad as the average esf code s player. they all have the ability to make it far into a tournament on a good day, and they all could take a code s championship with an outstanding run.

WCS America too strong. just wait til HyuN joins. 5/ top 8 at MLG 3/ top 4 including top 2 at HSC 7 recent dreamhack finalist JYP fleeing to Korea to qualify pretty much undeniable that the elephant in the room is WCS America >>> Korea >>>>>>> Europe

lol how did the argument go from, kespa players not being as dominant as expected, to kespa players are shit. Surely you realize how absurd that statement was.
