Group3:Casy/Jaedong
Just my predictions

Are you serious? You think Jaedong has the chops to stop both Savior and Sea?

I don't see that happening.

hes very capable of beating sea, id might even consider him a favorite. he 2-0ed xellos and xellos is in better shape than sea recently. savior too, due to the nature of the matchup and the fact that jaedong is really good zvz too.

I guess you place more weight on beating Xellos than I do. I've always had a grudge against him for something, but it seems a lot of players roll over him pretty easy on a givin day.

I don't know. I'm not saying it would be unheard of, but in a group like that I'd be really really surprised to see 3 hot, top form players lose a spot to new guy.

But hey, I guess we'll see.

My understanding is that Xellos is in a perpetual slump, based on not just his recent win/loss ratio but the halfhearted, unconvincing way in which he plays those games (rather like sync). While his TvP seems to be in the best shape, I do not think he can fight decisively versus most new age Terrans and Zergs.

In other words, even though Xellos' reputation precedes him, as seems to be always the case, I have little faith that one who beats him has accomplished a significant feat.

I think Casy[aLive] has a real chance of beating sAviOr, not the rest though, maybe jaedong ;;

Casy is unluckier.
The last time he was in group stages for anything, it was July, Midas, Anytime.. LOL.
Now it's Jaedong, Savior, Sea... LOL.

I mean.. come on~ Give the guy a break, he's already an OSL curse victim... Why does he deserve the qualifiers group of death AND the starleague's group of death...

I feel infinite remorse for Casy.

EDIT - You guys definately need to give Xellos' TvZ more credit. He has raped Zergs in proleague and his rape of SasinBoy (Very very good) and Cool just show you, he's muh fuckn Xellos.

lol

Have you watched any of the this season's Lecaf Proleague matches?
I can understand you favor Savior, but to say jaedong's zvz is problematic is just nonsense.

Though this may sound wierd, doing well in MSL means nothing in DT, and Starleague; and vice versa. The records show no strong indication between the two individual leagues(except for Nada during his grandslam). And, believe it or not, Savior's record in Ongamenet matches is, 0:4. He has never won a match in Ongamenet. So, literally he is like a pure noobie in Ongamenet.

However doing well in Proleague lead to better outcome in individual leagues. And, if you haven't seen jaedong in action, I'd recommend you to check out the vod's or at least what his current stats are. He will probably secure this season's Proleague mvp.

It really saddens me when people don't give enough attention to the Proleague. It's like licking off only the cream cheese on bagel, and throwing away the rest.

Well, to be honest, everyone's ZvZ is problematic.. lol. The MU is imbalanced and problematic but that's why I like it.

I'm pretty sure Sea is the "underdog" in his group... although it seems wierd to say it like that. I don't care who wins as long as Casy emerges on top...

I'd say

Jaedong > Sea
Savior > Casy
Savior = Jaedong (if this was proleague I'd give Jaedong the edge, in msl it would be Savior)
Casy >= Sea
for game 5:
Savior > Sea
Jaedong = Casy
and the other two possibilities the same as games 1 and 2.

i really want to see casy play sea! both of them have INCREDIBLE TvTs. imo, who comes out of the group of death all depends on who wins casy vs savior. if savior can get over the ogn curse and crush the neo-boxer casy like he did the emperor himself, then i think he'll get out of the group. however, if casy gets luckier than boxer did on Superfight with a high-risk build or plays him straight up, then i think it'll be a very close matchup.

most probably think jaedong will crush sea because of his mediocre TvZ, but i remember sea recently said he was going to show all disbelievers his good TvZ and fast hand speed, and he went sk terran as a result and won. i think if he can bring this kind of determination to the match, he will win vs jaedong.

then casy vs sea tvt... sea has the edge no matter how awesome this match will be.

then, whichever z wins the loser's game, which could very very well be jaedong, has to go through casy's tvz.

Whoa there. Casy is an OSL champion, and for a while there, everyone--including me--was calling his TvT and TvZ absolutely unparalleled. The Neo-Emperor, I believe the term was. Well, he's got nothing but TvT and TvZ this ODT. Prove that your win wasn't a fluke, Casy! Prove it!

Because personally, given the people Casy played and the maps on which he played them, he got lucky. Maybe he would have won no matter the maps and matchups--he was playing very well at the time--but he still got lucky. I'd like to see how he measures up against, in my opinion, the best TvT (Sea) and ZvT (Savior) players in the world. I mean, really, these are supposed to be Casy's ace matchups. We should only feel sorry for him if he ever gets stuck in a group with Bisu, Anytime, and Stork.

sea's tvt is good but calling it the best is a hell of a stretch.
and ya, casy's tvz is really good, but saviors gonna rape him and i think jaedong will beat him too.
