Made some mistakes. Rogue looked fantastic so there was no room for mistakes. In game one Zest stupidly flew 2 Oracles over 8 Queens and lost them for nothing.
Great call by Rogue to make so many Queens for defense.

Also, isn't PvT his best matchup?

But I would like to see him do it offline before I'm totally sold on Zest being back. Also, isn't PvT his best matchup? He's been killing PvT and PvP. He's destroyed Gumi, Maru, ByuN, and Stats. And I honestly think if he chose a couple different openers against Inno he would have crushed him as well. That being said he doesn't have many PvZ victories lately (although Rogue has historically been his kryptonite in PvZ)

Perhaps Zest could learn something by watching the semifinal at blizzcon in 2015 when Rogue badly lost to sOs 3-0. Rogue was on a roll then after beating Maru and Hydra yet sOs had the formula to beat him easy. A very one sided match.

SoO beat TY 3-2 in season one in that match where he trailed 0-2 so he can beat Terrans. He beat Maru 2-1 in group just before that. If the WCS standings hold as they are there will be 7 Zergs out of the 16 that make it and Rogue would not be one of them. So best Zerg without question? No!

Achievements from several months back don't mean anything when it comes to current form. Who is only talking about current form mate? I never judge a player just on how they have been the last 2 weeks. A Premier league team that lost 2/3 of their matches can start playing great and it won't matter. In the NFL teams play 16 games from Sept to Dec then there is a playoff and you usually need to be 10-6 or better to make the playoffs. If a team is 4-8 after 12 games it will not matter at all if they get super hot and win their last 4. 8-8 .500 is still usually not enough! In team sports every game counts the same. If a team loses a game early in the season it still counts as a loss late in the season.

3 best Zergs in the world in one group! No need for debate here we will find out who is best. I'll be cheering for Dark.

I'm sorry it is a king of the hill event so there only is one game. They are playing for $500 a map!

Okay then Obviously soO is the second (or first) best zerg of all time for sc2. But in terms of current form, Rogue is better at ZvP and ZvT, and possibly ZvZ. SC2 is a game where player's skill level can change in a matter of weeks. Look at Zest as an example. If you use 2017 to judge him he's bloody terrible, but right now he's looking very strong (mainly in PvT, beating Maru, Gumi, Inno, and ByuN)

Being in top form now has little value if that player lost in group or qualifiers 5 weeks ago which is what happened to Zest in some tournaments. Zest lost qualifiers for IEM shanghai in late June and Masters Coliseum on July 2nd. So consistency over a period of time matters not just form over the last week.

And no, when discussing a players form right now, results from months back don't mean anything. In Starcraft you can win GSL, and then lose in the ro32 a couple weeks later. Of course consistancy is important to being a good player overall, but you can't say someone is bad right now, because of results from months back. Rogue is just better than soO right now. If soO fixed his ZvT then maybe. They're on similar ZvZ and ZvP levels.

Bly just beat Neeb "right now". Who gives a flying crap? Neeb beat Byun and Hero, Hero beat Dear and dear beat your boy Rogue. Does that make Bly the world's best player "right now"? If Sunderland wins one match against Chelsea are they the best team "right now"? You might want to argue that but it means nothing! These guys are playing all the time! In Starcraft you can win GSL, and then lose in the ro32 a couple weeks later. Right so why does "right now" even matter?
