1. Force a base trade 2. Force hero to attack his own buildings in the base trade. 3. Force hero to forget about base trade and chase his units in vain. even sent a sentry to use force field and block the chase 4. Force GG When hero saw sOs' stalkers in his base, it was too late to evacuate his probes. Even if he did, he would not have enough money for a Nexus. sOs already saved up close to 700 minerals at that point (he planned the whole thing when he gave up his natural to hero), so nothing from 1-4 would have changed. Basically hero went 3 gates and stargate on 1 base and could not even ask for a single engagement in the whole game. How much more hopeless can you get? What a brutal revenge. sOs must really wanted that one after being eliminated from blizzcon by herO. This game is why I agree with Artosis that PVP is the most strategically rich matchup. When watching the game it felt everything was improvised but after watching it and thinking about everything, it was obviously planned out. From the moment sOs moved out it was about him executing the plan. Nothing hero did after that point would have mattered. (Sure if hero is a bad player and had a lot of floating minerals when he saw the stalkers stood in his face, then he could have moved out probes and let the game go on. But he's not).

I'm not sOs. I'm a fan of him. I expect him to pull off something that I would not have thought of as possible because I love him so much. 2017 GSL S3 finals versus Inno for example, PVT was at a bad spot and it was sOs' worst matchup by far and against the worst opponent he could get. sOs came up with so many brilliant strategies and the series went 7 games long. And he dictated the pace the whole series. He was the winner to me in that series. What I was saying is my expectation for him is so high that I believe he could have done much better. Whether he could have done so much better that he would overcome Scarlett, I do not know. I do think his loss is a combination of himself not playing up to his standard, Scarlett playing really well and balance.

His only real chance is Gumiho losing to Maru in the GSL ro8. Then he has to do better than Trap by at least one round in supertournament, and better than Gumiho by two rounds of supertournament (or sOs has to make the final and Gumi not). Also Leenock has to lose in the GSL ro8 or ro4, which is likely anyway.
