finale, now Duckdeok, is a strong Protoss player, who was around since the beginning of Starcraft2, participating in GSL Open Season 2 as "LoveRip" .After a disastrous start with the Werra clan, he joined MVP and became an important key in the team's success in GSTL. He managed to get back into Code S in late 2012, notably defeating Jaedong, Happy and TaeJa. In 2013, he choosed to play in WCS Europe. It took him only two seasons to win the whole thing, and finally made the splash he was working so hard for. He is still a very young player (only 18yo) and his large array of builds made him a fearsome opponent. Support this guy !
It's been a hard road for finale. It looked like he would stop playing starcraft forever after the whole incident with GundamWeRRa but MVP gave him another chance and now's he's blooming into a solid Protoss player!
So he change his ID to duckdeok apparently :D A bit random but it's funny so we'll see. I will add some VODs and stuff soon, he also got his GM spot on the Korean server
3 decisive kills today against ROOT in the Acer Cup, including a 2-1 against YugiOh. He will play tomorrow against HasuObs in the first round of WCS EU!
Sign me up. Haven't been that close to crying in relation to a sports event since Lee Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan in the olympic badminton finals. He was soooooo happy, those are the moments that makes following competitions worth it!
Struggled so hard to get through all the stages of WCS; through qualifiers, Championship division and then tearing straight through Premier League all the way to the top. What a hero's tale, and nobody can say it was not deserved after the people he beat on the way. The crying and then laughing at the end just made him complete in my eyes as someone I want to cheer for. I now have a second favourite player alongside Naniwa. :D
glad I watched the VoD and saw the winners ceremony, would have missed out something great otherwise. Congrats Duck Deok. Now the Final Duck errr Boss of WCS EU
don't be too upset about your loss against nerchio, your team won though! now concentrate and train for the global finals! I will cheer for you gogo duckdeok!!!
there you can watch the video. also i want to share my thoughts on duckdeok:
he is the most open and freidnly korean i have met! i wouldnt have thought this when he went up in wcs eu. i didnt even like him beating my favorite players. but then the finals came and he won and showed us so much emotion - it was incredible. but thats not where the story ends. i was at gamescom last week and met him. he is a very friendly and open person (still a bit shy but thats ok). he was the only korean who answered some controversial questions and was smiling a lot. and after all this stuff i thought it couldnt go better. until esl players party. while all koreans were grouping up together and didnt try to get involved with others duckdeok drank his beer outside the vip lounge and teamed up withwelmu. just to dance with the huge crowd of ppl! he looked so happy! i wish him best of luck in every future tournament. he is a real precious for the sc community. so... sign me in. im a fan!
It may sound absolute crazy but seeing him in person and certain side angles... to me he REALLY looks like a young(Somewhat less manly.. no offense) Reach!
I mean of course he isn't Reach's caliber of manliness(No one is..) but take a closer look at some of those pictures! Mini Reach :D
But in all seriousness Quack Quack mother fuckers! DuckDeok Hwaiting!

Hey guys, quick update for those who are still around, Duckdeok is apparently playing Heroes of The Storm fulltime, with Team No Mercy (MVP Sniper aka deckardcains now is there too) and they are competing in the Heroes Big League. I know he missed the fans, and the crowd chanting his name quite a lot during his retirement, let's see how serious this 'come back' is
How come I never searched for this fanclub D: Sign me up please, seeing duckdeok win WCS EU was probably one of the most emotional, if not the most emotional, moment of my SC2 viewer's experience.
