About
Lee "Curious" Won Pyu is a Korean Zerg player, currently playing for team StarTale. Curious began playing for the team in early 2011, showing mediocre results both online and offline. His big break came in the 2011 October season, when he managed to go undefeated through Code A, beating Sniper, SjoW, YugiOh, GuMiho and Oz without dropping a map, the only player in the history of the game to do so. Though he quickly exited Code S the following season, he soon became a mainstay in Code S as he reached the Round of 16 repeatedly, showing powerful and solid macro-based play in the Round of 32 but always falling apart upon reaching the Round of 16 - only recently managing to break this string of bad luck as he advanced to the Round of 8 last week, then going even further as he obliterated SKT_Parting 3-0 to advance to the semis. Unfortunately, he did fall 2-4 against the AZUBU Zerg, but made a strong showing throughout the season. He fell to somewhat disappointing lows in 2014, failing to make a mark in the WCS circuit. However, by getting through a tough bracket to qualify for 2015's first GSL, he will start off the year with a clean slate and a chance to make his presence known. With both GSL and Proleague coming up, please cheer for this great and dedicated player as he attempts to finally leave his mark upon Heart of the Swarm and in the history of Starcraft II.

There, he would go on to beat every opponent until he ran into Parting, who knocked him out again.
I searched so many times to make sure but somehow in my mind i was hesistant and thought it must exist sometime ago, and today i searched again and realized it did not exist so i had to make it!

Nah.
Right now there is a great argument for it. Him, Life and Leenock are playing the best right now.
I think in order to make a great argument, one must have an established record of success that goes back at least a couple of months. While Curious has been nothing short of terrifying in ZvP he has not strung together enough wins to result in a tournament victory.
Now if Life wins TSL4 and crushes his Code S group, then the argument for him begins to gather steam. And we still have to take into account DRG, Stephano, etc.
Awesome, tenacious play from Curious tonight in the GSTL.
I thought Curious had lost the ace match so many times as Keen kept killing more and more of his drones. I thought he was crazy for doing his small attacks with roaches. But then I remembered that he's one of the best SC2 players in the world and I'm just a nerd, and then he won the game.
Curious plays tonight in Code A! Let's cheer for him to get back to Code S and this time hopefully not lose in the usual fashion in either the Round of 32 or 16!

Don't forget this was the guy who had a flawless Code A run. It was so sick, but so under hyped.
Huge grats to Curious for finally making to the ro8 in the GSL, He finally made it similar to Clide when he finally made a ro8 after many consecutive seasons of ro16.
Obviously, I'm going to be adding more stuff, for example a tab for interviews and another one for videos (sick plays, video interviews etc.), but I wanted to get this done before his games tonight.
Please share your thoughts - we want only the best for this guy's fan club!
Curious ro4 damn... I've watched his games since 2011 and he surely has his moments but I've never been a fan. Until now... Go Curious! Sign me up please.
This guy is onto something. I don't think Symbol, with his mediocre-at-best ZvZ can stop Curious. And if he ends up facing MC in the finals, well... He won 2-0 last time. RorO and Soulkey would be tougher but certainly doable. Taeja? Meh, I'm kind of counting him out already.

It's his statistically best match-up by far. And Symbol's recent ZvZ record is nothing short of abysmal, with losses to low Code-A players and a bunch of foreigners. I like Symbol, don't get me wrong, but I think he's hopelessly outmatched.
Wow wtf Curious??? You madman first you got into ro8 and then you 3-0'd PartinG? This feels so odd....Good to see Curious this deep in gsl but i've always known him ass the gatekeeper it is so strange to see him past ro16 :SS

I totally agree with you. However, Symbol has plenty of time to prepare for his match and can solely focus on practising ZvZs (with Hyun, for instance). On the other hand we have Curious, who's a beast in ZvZ anyway and has Life to practice with, so he should be the clear favorite. For now I'm glad he made it to the Ro4 and has a decent shot at making it to the finals!
I think I did well to get past RO8. I think PartinG underestimated me way too much thinking of how I used to be. I have been honing my skills and waiting for the right moment. Having advanced so far, I guess I should send everyone down to Code A (laugh) Even if you aren't in Code A for next season, I can certainly send you there if we meet. Also, I declared that I would be reborn as a champion in HotS and I think that rebirth just might happen sooner than expected (laugh)

I don't know if anyone else noticed yet, but GOM just posted the maps for the semifinals and apparently it's bo7 now! Symbol vs Curious Game 1: Bel'Shir Vestige SE Game 2: Icarus Game 3: Whirlwind SE Game 4: Daybreak Game 5: Neo Planet S Game 6: Akilon Flats Game 7: ESV_Cloud Kingdom

Fixed that for you - we won't be seeing more than the first four maps :D
I cant believe this fanclub was started up so late... but yeah I have liked curious since his code A stomping and I really enjoyed watching him come out of his shell more and more as each season came by. He seems almost like a staple of the GSL and he has always worked hard. Nobody deserves this GSL more right now than this guy and if he wins I think it will be not only a great storyline but another storybook season for Startale :D

We all know this is the best way to end WoL it really HAS to be this.

I love this. It is so awesome to see the Code S detector advance.
I was looking through some old GSL brackets and now I'll have to edit my Curious Code A stat D: He actually has 2 losses in Code A. Once to Sniper and once to HuK in March 2011 first round 2-0 D: D: D: I don't even remember Curious in that GSL
Very sad, but good effort nonetheless! He played very well to get here, and it just felt like his play was ever so slightly off today. No matter, a semi-final is nothing to be ashamed of; most people never even get there!

Just google-translated it as well. Hopefully he provides us with entertaining tweets comparable with the stuff he's saying during group nominations!
Link added to the OP. Make sure to tweet at him and tell him he's a gosu <3
Also, are there any Curious fans around that know how to make graphics/headers properly? I'd try, but I've never done something like it before and this fan club deserves a lot better quality than that.
Make sure to cheer for Curious tomorrow as he plays in Code S Ro32 alongside sOs, MKP and soO! Curious looked relatively weak against Mvp in the MLG qualifiers a bunch of weeks ago; it'll be interesting to see what he (and Life) have come up with for his play.
That was a long time ago, I'm not even worried. The way I see it, he should win against Soo, who doesn't have a good record against Zerg, then even if he loses to MKP with the current state of ZvT, I hope he will be able to kill SoS with Hydras and Mutas before he gets an unbeatable deathball.
his games vs mkp were so well played, yet in his zvz his control and reaction time was a little off, maybe he just lacked confidence but it was very sad to see him go out after looking so good in hots zvt
Although he didn't move on, I'm pretty sure the month-long break will provide him with the time he needs to get back on his feet in HotS. He isn't the only Zerg to still look a bit lost in HotS, but he managed to take out Marineking ezpz and took a game off soO as well. With Life, Bomber and the ST army to practice with, I think he'll do just fine next time around.
Not an easy group. Super and Effort are on the upswing and Byun is decent. Paralyze does OK in Proleague too, if we ignore what happened in his last Code A match. Curious didn't look very good in his last matches, I hope he pulls it together.
Curious will be playing in the semis of the Numericable M-house Cup today, facing Hyun in a Best of 5. His ZvZ has looked a little shaky at times, but Hyun should be an opponent he's capable of taking down. If he can get past Hyun, he should win the tournament.
Curious is playing in OSL Group D (Shine, Curious, Trap, Symbol) tomorrow - he lost in the semis to Symbol in 2013 GSL1, and it's time to get revenge. As for the other two... Get out. All in all, a very doable group.
Sucks to not be able to watch Curious right now =/ Oh well, with the Up&Downs, he should be able to get back into Code S as long as he hasn't slacked off due to there being so few televised matches to play.
this guy is so freaking good, but he always seems to be overshadowed by others on his team! he played a great game vs symbol, and i hope that someday he gets the credit he deserves.
It still amazes me how sick good some players can be and yet how little pages their fanclub threads have. More cheering for Curious, this guy seriously deserves it now!
Curious in Code A tomorrow, don't forget to tune in! The format has changed to mirror that of Code S - first match vs Effort, then faces the winner (or loser, I guess) of Sleep vs Ruin.
