Idk. It says she signed up but her opponents got auto-wins, I think Special signed up but was marked as a no-show, I assume it has to do with WCS. Apparently the only person in the house who played was SortOf? (*Him and Cloudy were the only foreigners to actually play.) ... /shrug

There's not much to say until we get news, so keep an eye on the *GSL threads (GSL S1 thread, thread on GSL and WCS participation/blocking) and twitter. I'll probably be offline until morning here but... hopefully it's nbd?

If there is some restriction on foreigners competing in WCS and GSL, I'm going to be so sad. The players in the house right now who've been training in Korea for the last few years moved there so they could play against the best players in the world, compete in the most prestigious and cutthroat tournament in the world as far as I'm concerned, and grow into the best players they can be. Obviously I would hate if that was taken away from any one of them, Sasha and anyone else who has stayed in the house since they started. And it's hard, in my opinion, to overstate how massive, for Jake and tons of people all over the world, the house existing and him going to the GSL qualifiers and providing that content is.

I'm dying to know what's up instead of listening to people speculate and worrying about what's going on.

Gotta love the promo vid. But the more it gets me hype, the more I want some *** news lol.

We'll see tomorrow if Special and Scarlett decided to train more and try to qualify only for the second day, or if they have been banned from competing in the qualifiers. That seems odd to me, they could try to qualify to GSL and then go to the open bracket for the main WCS stops, both of them should make it to the 3rd group stage (as if they were seeded by WCS Challenger) without too much trouble.

Scarlett did not play in GSL qualifier despite being signed up, which seems to confirm that they aren't allowed to play in both WCS and GSL.

It may be that they were willing to forfeit their WCS spots if they qualified for GSL. Scarlett and Special are expected to get pretty far in WCS Americas, so that wouldn't be a smart option for them.

For Challenger proper, they may consider skipping it, but it seems like WCS Winter is essentially one extended Challenger, so that would be a bigger loss.

Scarlett is playing in day 2. I don't know what happened, but she's in a group with Keen, Bomber and Honmono. She started off 2-0ing Bomber and now plays Keen in the winner's match.
