Scarlett, I understand the choice, but I really hope you don't retire yet. Seeing you win is one of my favorite things to do and I'd hate to lose that. I know you probably don't like me, but honestly you are one of my favorite people ever and it'd be so sad to see you leave. Whether it be by continuing what you have now, or coming back in LotV after a break, or doing something else in the community, I hope to see more Scarlett. I wasn't around when you won WCS America, so I'm still hoping to see you win a big one. Besides, if Templar says you shouldn't retire, you know you goddamn shouldn't retire  If this is really your last tournament, make it fucking good one. Good luck. P.S, if you are gonna play in this WCS, you might wanna get on signing up for the qualifiers... it starts tomorrow.  | ||

Practically speaking, she's almost ensured a qualifying spot into challenger, and at least $2,000 (3K if she can get into Premier, which is more than likely). It'd almost be silly to give that up. | ||

So the optimistic part of me thinks that her semi-retirement announcement is just the opposite -- she's feeling down in the moment because she's tired from traveling to Korea for SSL, she didn't have the best results these past few months, it's the WCS down season so there haven't been any tournaments, several players have announced breaks from SC2, and maybe illness and injury(?). Once the competitive season starts again and she has motivation to play and train, she'll backtrack a little. | ||

Scarlett I feel has a lot of passion, and has a lot of potential left in her, but she is susceptable to emotions. Hell, I understand this perfectly well, and we did get a "I think" and a "might" from her. But the competitive scene starts tomorrow, and she still hasn't signed up yet so that is very very worrying | ||

I have joined this community after I learned about you. I have tried to do a lot for this community after I learned about you. I was helped by wonderful people to reach to you in KR and understanding what an amazing girl you are, and those moments were among the happiest in my life. Remember that karakoke evening? In that tiny basement with all the soju, with SKTParalyze, Sacsri, and all of us, karaoking our asses off on anything from Kpop to U2. Easily one of the best moments of my life. At one point i went to that dude's fridge and said "hey youre out of soju" and he looked at me "yeah you guys drank it all". And you, you were so happy. And such a great singer! I know you probably dont care about what im about to say, ignore me on skype if u want, whatever --i just have to say this. The tweet is a little hard to digest. It just hits like a truck. Like, BOOM. qxc also did this but he explained why, and said he will come back for lotv. Even if you dont come back for lotv, people have the right to know whats wrong. Its nice to, you know, give a reason, throw a bone, for the people that care about you so much, support you so much and love you so much. Are you ok? Is it the wrists problem? Is this because of acer? Is it the stress? Was it the SSL? Is it the amount of travel? Did anyone suddenly upset you? Is it the university, the feel that you cannot do both? Are you switching games? The abruptness of this tweet just makes it seem that something went wrong in the last 24hrs, as you were enthused for the LotV changes, you were teasing naniwa and everything was cool and funny... and now out the blue, this drops like a nuke bomb. It just doesnt compute. Let the community understand why, Sasha. There are so many people that genuinely care about you and they simply want to know you well and happy. | ||
