Might be a bit more obscure, but here's an absolutely hilarious series between Scarlett and Elfi at Asus Northcon last year, including a game on Bel'shir where she made something like 50 infestors to troll him. :D

From the entire year, that was one of my favorite moments, when she commented at the start of the games; "Good luck, you'll need it this time"
I think that got Polt a bit perplexed there. From a sports psychology perspective, in most cases intimidation works, as in most athletes when they get intimidated switch mentally from "playing to win" to "playing not to lose". I remember reading a study that athletes who approach a competition without self-confidence have an increased level of cortisol (stress hormone), as their body tries to adapt to the situation that they perceive as worrying, so they end up making more mistakes than their opponents.
I think this just proves how much self-confidence matters in eSports as well as in any kind of sport. And there was a recent TL article on STLife how he is so confident that he simply knows he will win. I would be very curious if the Korean coaches emphasize this mental preparation in any way.

I think that's true, but I also hink it's just as important to learn how to manage when your self-confidence wanes. Most people can't stay 100% confident all the time, and usually you have to perform when you have doubts. Managing those doubts effectively seems like it's also pretty important.
Interesting to note - in the EU qualifier there are no koreans registered so far (though there is still time), whereas the America Qualifier has already two (hydra and violet).
But don't get discouraged by that Scarlett, you're better than viOlet and you have the skill and everything you need to defeat hydra

A lot of people haven't registered yet -- Polt, Jaedong, Stardust(?) for the Koreans, and other notable NA names like Neeb, Kelazhur, Minigun, CatZ and Guitarcheese aren't on the list either.

yeah my point was -- regardless of whether there are two or two hundred koreans on that list at the end, she can take them down, so she should not worry.
and i wouldnt really worry about Kelazhur and co, one win vs Scarlett doesn't make him dennis the menace
