The metagame was alot different back then, but it wasn't like Jaedong was beating the shit out of every foreigner he encountered, he was doing extremely bad in Korea at the time and even his BW performances were less then stellar the last 2 years that KESPA was doing pro BW. That's not a diss at Jaedong though, he's a top 25 Korean GM ladder player and is ridiculously amazing at RTS, he's just way beyond past his prime. I do hate the region lock though because I feel like LOTV really lends itself well to excellent mechanics and multitasking which are Jaedongs strong suits compared to overall smart decision making. Jaedong could probably do very well in WCS if he were able to participate in them. Korea is just such an incredibly stiff level of competition full of young blood. Remember when Jaedong was young blood crushing all the older players and hitting his prime? Well now he's the older one. I've said it once and I'll say it again, if Jaedong retired and started streaming BW for a year or so before military service I would probably squeal like a little girl.

Wolf posted this though: On May 11 2016 14:39 Wolf wrote: kenzi told me that Jaedong is currently not signed up for the SSL qualifiers either. No Jaedong games in Korea this year. So who knows :D But i doubt JD would try to play in SSL and not in GSL, would be extremely werid especially because the qualifiers are so close together anyway.

Don't want to cast a shadow in his own fanclub but with the way these things get exposed, and how little knowledge we have of match fixing. I'd say it's hard to be definitive about it. Just like PEDs in high level sports, we just don't know how far down the rabbit hole goes. All that we can gather is that it's common. I doubt this type of thing is any different.
