Regarding your new and improved comment, I'd say usually TY is in better form than he seems to be in now (granted PartinG didn't look great either). Also this is a time PartinG pretty regularly still streams at while I imagine TY would sleep. So not sure how comfortable that would be.

Tbh I'm actually offended by TY's play today. I picture him playing and taking his hand off the keyboard to scratch his head in the middle of the fight. Feels like he's not even trying.

Isn't it a bit of a bizarre decision to hard proxy a protoss that gateway scouts every game? Idk, huge TY fan as well but these games feel very experimental for him, to put it kindly

Edit: yet somehow he takes the game anyway? PartinG's allin seemed to hit ridiculously late, maybe his robo was just too late, I feel like if the prism were faster, PartinG could have triggered the mine and hit way before the tank popped. Weird game overall, but at least it means TY has a decent chance of going through to the playoffs

I feel like TY lucked his way into the win in the last game. Feel like Parting's decision to pressure TY's nat after holding was the worst possible decision in that scenario.
If TY can get it together against Time, then he'll be fortunate (again) to advance to the Ro8. Would he have to play Group A's 1st place?

There's almost no Toss that doesn't gateway scout. I think it was a calculated gamble. He probably expected PartinG to low ground wall and if he breaks the low ground with the marine/SCV attack the game is over. Didn't work out like intended but won anyway. Task failed successfully.

And now he 2-0'd TIME pretty dominantly.

I love how TY is pulling out crazy strats, it doesn't always work but I think game sense and strategy really favours TY the weirder the game becomes, all three games in the TY vs Parting series were insane.

Crazy games, especially vs Parting. That's one of the biggest comebacks I've ever seen in game 3. He had literally 7 workers at one stage to 13 and 3 were across the other side of the map. So was his production, while the factory got up. That drop was so clutch though. From that point at the beginning I know Parting made massive mistakes, but that was some starsense and ridiculous execution with his widow mine, marines and hellions. He even picked up a marine to save it from a stalker shot at one stage. I even wonder if it was at all similar to that amazing micro with his tanks and BCs against Cure that was clipped? I'd love to see it in slow-mo to see how much was his control vs just good positioning of how things were dropped out of the widow mine. Any later and his attention would have had to be devoted to the stalkers that busted through his depot and getting his tank up.

I'm fairly sure after the SSL Code A matches that were really late at night a few years ago that TY isn't at his best at 3 in the morning.

Yeah, that was my thought as well. I really want him to face Serral soon but when he's in good condition. I'd say it's 80-20 for Serral tomorrow, also taking ping into account.

At least he's avoided Dark in GSL ro8!

Serral is a bit of a nightmare in DH Masters, but it wouldn't get easier even if he wins. Probably Maru after that or a really in form Cure, then Reynor who looks a similar level of awesome as Serral vs T, despite the differences in style.
