He showed the replays of his match vs Cure on stream. Game 1 was a pretty regular straight up TvT he dominated. Game 2 was exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds long and consisted of him killing the SCVs building Cure's proxy rax.

Well Inno and Cure should be the other two contenders for the best TvT title so that is a very nice run to take them out. Let's hope this means he has adapted to the meta again and is getting in shape in time for Code S.

I have to say I'm really sick of watching my favorite players lose. One of TY and Stats really need to start getting some results, please!

From his stream and his recent matches it also seems like after a few weeks of doing well in TvZ he now has no idea what to do anymore and nothing works.

I'm getting worried here. Has he just lost his motivation completely? He could still have a couple of good years in him, especially in a situation where the competition is continuously decreasing. But if he really doesn't feel like playing anymore of course he shouldn't. With the caster job as well as plenty of other things he could be good at I could understand if he packs it in.

Would be such a shame though, when TY hits his stride it's just the greatest thing in starcraft.

He's streaming multiple hours of high level SC2 damn near every day, clearly having fun in the process. He just opened a Youtube channel to promote his stream as well. He made it into Code S without too much trouble and he won that AlphaX event.

You don't have to panic, he's clearly not giving up yet.

Well that's very good to hear. I'm traveling so I don't get the chance to watch his stream or most tournament games except for the high profile ones, so it's a bit difficult to get a grasp on things. Let's hope Code S brings him back to his pre-blizzcon form. And that he gets a new team soon.

It's actually from him winning the WESG APAC finals back in 2016, not even the main tournament.

Before you ask why I'd remember that, it's the KT jacket.

He seemed ok with it, we'll see. Probably the first time in a while where he's got a winning record against every player in the group. I think Solar is the worst part about the group for him but it was his own pick so that was something.

I find it very hard to judge how good Stats is these days. It's so few games we have seen him play. For TY's sake I do worry that Stats is in top form, that would make the matchup the 50-50 thing that it has been in the past.

And yeah Solar seems like a very tough opponent. I still don't trust that TvZ is that playable.

In important tournaments Stats hasn't really had any convincing performances in a long time. If he showed up for this GSL I wouldn't even be mad, love me some top form Stats games. In the Ro24 he didn't look very good (still won his group) though and he admitted as much. Fun fact: Stats hasn't won a tournament game against TY since mid 2018.

Let's just hope the Splyce reunion tour featuring Cure once again proves Solar to be the worst Splyce boi. Also if TY advances, there's a huge chance he plays TvT in the Ro8.

Sad TY didn't do better against Cure, now he's gonna have to play Dark in the Ro8 again :S
