If you've been following Life for a long time, you know that the greatest weakness he has is impatience. In both games in the last series, he had a lead, and lost because of impatience.
In game 1, he had a decent lead, had a 3rd much sooner, cancelled Soulkey's 3rd and even was getting his 4th, but then he decided to attack with a small group of Roaches and Infestors for no reason. If he had waited just a bit more until the advantage from the extra base really kicked in, he would have just rolled him over.
In game 2, he out-microed Soulkey against a very hard to defend baneling all in, and already had better tech with Spire, but he just had to keep defending until Soulkey ran out of steam. Instead, he tried to get Mutas out and didn't have enough gas for Banelings while Soulkey was continuing his push. He got overran by Soulkey's last ditch efforts basically, if he just kept adding more Spines and making Banelings and Zerglings he would have won.
He's young, it's normal. He'll learn to be more patient.
IPTL Premier League coming up - tune and cheer for StarTale, and more specifically Life, who should make an appearance barring an all-kill from ST's starter, Squirtle.
Loses the first game of the GSTL semifinals. Uncharacteristically sloppy play from beginning to end. Forgot baneling speed, overmade corruptors, never took map control, used a bad opening build on a wide-open map, expanded later, etc.

Avenge time!
For about four minutes.
gah why did they not play avenge
He has a 100% GSTL record against Lucky! He had soulful allins before Parting!
Anyway, back on topic. What do you think of Life's Iron Squid group, everyone?
I think, barring any breakdowns, he should have the group. Sure, Creator's potential 3-base timings might prove difficult to stop, but this is Life. He's beaten Seed before, and he has the best ZvT in the world, and will roll over Kas in his sleep. If not first, then guaranteed second.

Liquipedia seems to tell me that Life'S First opponent will be Perfect
Yea so weird. I saw a website with the same bracket that 2(catplanet) said. Seems like either IPL changed the brackets or the website got the brackets completely wrong haha. The Liquipedia bracket is the one listed on the IPL website, so that's probably the right one.
Anyway, in that case, this'll be the path. Perfect Hwangsin/Huk Leenock(O.O)/Apocalypse/Ganzi/Gowser XiGua
