I can't imagine why they wouldn't, they paid Parting, Bomber and Squirtle's way to tournaments in the past. I'm not sure that's true except Red Bull's own events, like Redbull LAN or Battlegrounds. IPL, previous MLGs, Lone Star Clash etc were all paid for by the tournaments AFAIK. Am I forgetting something? Iron Squid but that was also paid afaik

Yes, Iron Squid was also paid by the tournament, but I was thinking about Bomber and Squirtle's past events.

Bomber attended 3 MLG's in a row at the end of 2011, I know his first trip was paid for, I can't remember if the other two were. IPL4, I think it was paid for due to the GSTL finals. Bomber went to IEM Cologne in 2012, IEM never pays for flights as far as we know. IPL5 was probably paid for, MLG fall championship 2012 was probably paid for, can't remember.
Squirtle went to NASL S1, can't remember those details, IEM WC in early 2011. ESWC in 2012.
I think that's it, from what I can tell all of Parting's foreign tournaments were paid trips.

I wish KangHo could be replaced by Life for WCS finals...
Edit: not saying KangHo doesn't deserve it, but I am a biased fan who feels the need to sneak Life into every major tournament.

Hmm, looks like Golden and Sound are going to Anaheim, no word on Life...

i hate wcs cuz we see no more than 5 life games in 3 months or so

OSL format will be their traditional bo1 in ro32 groups, bo1 round robin in ro16 apparently. I hope he makes it to ro8 this time.

It was also said originally that there could be some format differences in WCS KR between OSL and GSL seasons.

Life's playing at RSL... I wish he would focus all his attention on OSL instead of competing in online tournaments.

I don't think you should worry. Provided he doesn't end up with triple ZvZ or Parting/Innovation who I feel are the two players that could somewhat reliably have a chance to beat Life, he's going to be fine. His troubles are so overestimated; he's going to roll through OSL. Some pocket change from RSL is just good for him and besides, he's only 16. Of course he'd take free money.

There's not much going on in Korea apart from OSL, I'm sure he can spare the time. Every Kespa player who could threaten Life has a far more packed schedule due to Proleague and he should be in a decent spot against most eSF players to begin with, he'll be fine, I don't think it's a bad idea to earn a couple thousand bucks in a few playdays.
|
It's not about having a busy schedule but a meaningful one. Having to play in and practice for Proleague is not a disadvantage for KeSPA players in my opinion, quite the opposite. Playing in online leagues at odd hours against Qxc and Lowely is not what Life needs.
I don't want Life to become another Hyun.

I know when OSL starts, I meant a school break yeah

Yeah, summer break has to be soon if it hasn't started already.
Anyway, maybe I'm wrong and it's nothing to worry about. Better to compete in something, I guess, than nothing at all like in the last month and a half. There are some reasons I worry about him, especially his ZvZ. I'm not sure his mind is in the right place.
