gogo Maru win your next championship!!! (ps. anyone else get annoyed how casters tend to see Maru as mostly cheesy player? He is monster in macro game. He is not player like duckdeok or Genius whose builds are build pretty much only early aggression/cheese)
Maru is cheesy mainly because his builds often go from 11-11 all the way to 3 CC before gas.

I think if Maru didn't retreat his blue flame hellions prematurely from JD's 3rd and roasted those drones, he would have had that game.
Innovation and MMA out early, and no T in the final..

GG Maru strong performance once again! He needs to work a bit his TvZ early-mid game. His late game is disgustingly strong tho. Almost crawled back last game with his great macro and micro. I think he is lacking a bit with decision making. defensive 3rd base would have been much better at that game.

TT I thought he was going to come back there in game 4. 3 straight 3-1 semifinal losses is pretty heartbreaking but at least he is consistently doing well. $17,500 not too shabby but I wish he could have won

and on top of that JD played ridiculously well, the best i have seen him play in SC2

Maru has shown, that he is the number one Terran right now. He is the closest to perfect terran play. Yes, it wasn´t enough to beat the very very best of Zerg and Protoss. But that´s how it goes right now. Terran is perhaps just a little bit weaker in the meta these days, but these things might be shaken up in the future.
I´m very proud of him. When I saw him play in some online cups at the start of HotS, I saw, that he will be the big thing in this expansion (if you want, just look at my posts after HotS release in this fanclub  ).
I´m very happy, that he could use this potential to gain that big of success. He won an OSL, he made 3 Ro4s in a row in the hardest tournaments on the planet.
His games are amazing to watch and it´s really inspiring to see him play. He totally filled the hole Marineking left in my Heart with HotS.

Has anyone realized that he had an easy bracket to the semi-finals, his WCS season 3 run was more impressive.

I think MC was definitely one of the easiest first round opponents but duckdeok definitely played better than expected. I would agree that his season 3 run was more impressive though.
